Finished the audiobook today. It was fun. I appreciate that the book is not simply a collection of heartwarming moments, it has a well constructed main storyline and each character has played its own part in pushing it forward.
I am going to start reading this today. I am setting aside (the 770 page) The Goldfinch for now so I can finish this book club book. :D
I really liked it. A weird thing though-I had the audio and the ebook from Hoopla and there were differences between the two. I won’t say what because it would be a spoiler but I thought it was really weird that they’d make changes from one format to the other. It didn’t change the ending or anything but it was still strange. It made me wonder if that happens a lot without us even knowing.
I finished the book yesterday and I would give it somewhere between 4.5 and 5 stars. It was reminiscent of The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry and A Man Called Ove as far as mood and general feeling goes. I loved all of the book references.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.

it is looking like another babysitter no-show here. :( Trying to find somewhere to put the boys...otherwise, I will be bringing them with me.
