Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Hi Karen!

I can't wait to read this with you. I wanted to listen to Imperial Stout (Trouble Brewing, #1) by Layla Reyne to refresh my memory before we start to read this one, but I realized that I remember quite a lot of book one. I hope that's true. LOL.

See you tomorrow at 7pm/2pm. <3

Yes!!! I'm so excited to do this one on audio. We'll be able to type whenever we want and not have to take breaks in the story but you need to let me know if you have to take breaks for Jamilah or Sammy (please tell me I got your kitties name right and if not then tell me that too so I can fix it into my pea brain, ok?)

The audiobook is already waiting for me on my MP3-player. :) Although I have to admit that I have to press pause when I want to type something, or I would probably lose the thread. LOL.
But I guess we will finish it sooner when we listen to it, so it's not me reading at a snail's pace that will hold us up. LOL.
I'll go to take care of Jamilah now and and tomorrow morning, so I guess we are free to read tomorrow in the afternoon (for me) as well. :) Feeding Jimmy (no worries, I often mix up names too. :) ) will only take a few minutes and I think today I can do it before we start. :)
See you in a bit more than three hours. <3

Damn so close my brain told your kitties name was either Sammy or Jimmy and for whatever reason i decided on the wrong one...go me! Ok, I'll see you soon my book is also loaded and ready to go and yeah, I'll probably have to pause when making comments as well. If it was a book that I'd listened to before probably not but since it's a first time story I don't want to miss anything, so better safe than sorry ;)

LOL. If that makes it better: if he didn't already have his name, I would have named him Sammy and I kid you not. But one look at him and I couldn't change his name. Jimmy fits to a T. :)

I'm back home and after having a quick dinner; I'm all yours. ;-)

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - I'm here and with my coffee in hand I'm ready to go whenever you are. :)

Karen Simone wrote: "I'm here and with my coffee in hand I'm ready to go whenever you are. :)"

Ok, I'm ready to go.

Great! Let's do this. :)

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Karen Oopsie!!! That didn't go as planned.

Karen Before I forget, I got your CI e-mail, just haven't opened it yet because I know I'll be too tempted to read if I do.

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Karen wrote: "Oopsie!!! That didn't go as planned."

Nope, not the reaction he probably hoped for...

And that's totally fine, since it's full of spoiler and trust me, you don't want to know beforehand. :)

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Argh, sh*t! I don't remember as much as I thought I would...

What's it with "The last time I had it this good..." and "I lost it all"?

Do you remember what happened? To Nic, I mean.

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Oh, I think it was never revealed, right? The meaning of Nic's tattoo and the letters?

Karen Simone wrote: "Argh, sh*t! I don't remember as much as I thought I would...

Vaguely...remember his dad's in trouble financially with the wrong people and they tried to collect from Nic.

Karen Simone wrote: "Oh, I think it was never revealed, right? The meaning of Nic's tattoo and the letters?"

if it was I don't remember.

Yeah, that I remember too, although not it detail. *sigh* I meant the more personal things he f*cked up... And that's why he got the tattoo on his back with the letters GS, but I think we never got more details on that so far. At least, I hope so, otherwise my memory is shittier than I thought. LOL.

Karen I bet we all know who the lady is...lol!!!

Karen Yep, I was right it's Mel.

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Karen wrote: "I bet we all know who the lady is...lol!!!"

You mean Lauren? Or are you ahead of me? LOL

Yours and mine. I don't think we have gotten the full story on those initials yet.

I must be ahead I'm at the airport with Nick and 'Jeremy' the butler type.

Whoops! I'm not even close to that...

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Okay, Nic just boarded the plane...

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - ...definitely not a woman you ignored if you wanted to keep all your bodily bits...

LOL. So true! :)

Karen Simone wrote: "...definitely not a woman you ignored if you wanted to keep all your bodily bits...

Ok, I'm at the point where Nic's just arriving back at his place so I'll pause and you let me know when you get to the 'beef stew'...damn, now I'm hungry for some beef stew...darn authors and their cooking.

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Yessss! I remember the steward now! Jeremy? He was the one on the plane at the beginning of Tequila Sunrise. :)

Karen Simone wrote: "Yessss! I remember the steward now! Jeremy? He was the one on the plane at the beginning of Tequila Sunrise. :)"

Whoa!! You're good I'd forgotten about that and it hasn't been that long since I listened to that one.

Okay, will do! :) And I'll adjust my MP3-player... Everytime I press stop, it rewinds 20 seconds when I turn it on again and that costs probably too much time. :)

Karen Ok, I've got to take about 10 maybe 15 minutes to take care of some laundry than I'll be back. You keep going.

Okay. :)

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Finished chapter #1 and damned if I know what was said in these bloody phone calls from the unknown number... Gahhh, I should have listened to Imperial Stout beforehand!!!

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - And there's the beef stew... ;-)

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Holy sh*t! And I guess it's not the stew that caught fire on the oven...

Karen Simone wrote: "And there's the beef stew... ;-)"

And I'm back no more laundry to be bothered with today.

Karen Simone wrote: "Finished chapter #1 and damned if I know what was said in these bloody phone calls from the unknown number... Gahhh, I should have listened to Imperial Stout beforehand!!!"

As I recall it was either threats or a whole lot of nothing or maybe a bit of both?

Tbh, I don't remember what it was... :( I might take a look tomorrow to bring us up to speed again.

Karen By the way did you know that the next book 'Noble Hops' is available for pre-order on Audible?

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Karen wrote: "By the way did you know that the next book 'Noble Hops' is available for pre-order on Audible?"

I haven't seen it yet. I only pre-ordered the ebook from Amazon. :)
It's a funny thing with this author's audiobooks. The other series was whispersynced, but still pretty expensive, so I bought the audiobook for Imperial Stout as soon as it was out. A few days later it was whispersynced for only a few Euros. I was so mad! LOL. This one here was expensive again, although it was whispersynced. I will probably wait until Noble Hops is out to see what the final price will be... :)

Ok, I may do the same once we stop for today on this one...more Tristan James is no hardship for me and I've got more than a few hours before we go back to this one tomorrow so we can compare notes and between the two of us we should be able to fill in the gaps right?

I've just started listening to chapter 3 on this one now.

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Karen wrote: "Simone wrote: "Karen wrote: "Simone wrote: "Finished chapter #1 and damned if I know what was said in these bloody phone calls from the unknown number... Gahhh, I should have listened to Imperial S..."

I might search for the calls in the ebook, that will probably go faster for me, but I should have time to do so. :)
Starting chapter #3 as well. ;)

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Oh, and it looks like someone wants Nic to move in with Cam. ;-)

That's not right they should have at least refunded you the difference on Imperial Stout...I hate it when stuff like that happens. I know when Audible started their Romance package I found more than a couple of books on it that I'd paid for and can now listen any of them as many times as I want for a whopping $7/mo. but then again the other day I saw a few that I'd listened to under the romance package and they're no longer available. So I guess it is what it is...sometimes it's good, sometimes not so much.

Karen Simone wrote: "Oh, and it looks like someone wants Nic to move in with Cam. ;-)"

You mean besides you and me?

Karen I love that Nic calls Cam Boston. It's adorable.

LMAO. Apparently, yes. ;-)
And I guess we would go more the persuasive way than burning shit up. LOL

Yeah, I didn't find it funny, either. I just presumed it would be the same as with the AI&W series which still is not cheaper than one credit would be for me. And this one here proves to be the same. I have no friggin clue why Imperial Stout has been so much cheaper suddenly. It's only one hour shorter than this one here.

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Karen wrote: "I love that Nic calls Cam Boston. It's adorable."

Me too. :)
