So for november, it is me, Victoria and Aakash who will participate.
No one commented, so I will make partners.
As last time we are only three but still we will manage.
Oda(me) decides the tbr for Victoria.
Victoria decides tbr for Aakash.
Aakash decides my tbr.

True, Mary did show some interest but she forgot to comment so thinking she changed her mind. Might be more interest in 2019 when the conzept is more known in the group.

Maybe she got busy and didn't make it on time?

Like you say, hopefully next year there will be more interest, especially when people see us doing it for a couple of months, and get to know how it works. Maybe make a point of putting a sign up deadline on the sign up posts. "Sign up by October 31st to participate," kind of thing?

Not a bad idea, a sign up deadline. Will do that for december.

Ellen (arcticlibrarian) Just wanted to wish you all happy reading this month. Because of my exams I think its safer to sit this one out, but I will for sure participate in December. :)

Aakash (procrastinator) Completed Ist book MC sword of summer. I wanted to read this book but I was confused between the timeline of kane chronicles and PJ. I really enjoyed this book very much glad that started(thnks to Victoria for choosing book). It was very hard to pronunciate the Norse names. I really doubted the book because of some negative reviews but that were totally wrong.

Hehe. Yes Magnus chase has no contuity in common with the kane chronicles so no worries there, it takes place after po but it can be read seperately. Glad you enjoyed it.

Sorry you weren't enjoying that one. Hope you have better luck with your other book.

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 141 comments I read the first of my three books yesterday. So, here's my review:

Pippi in the South Seas Pippi in the South Seas by Astrid Lindgren

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a fun and entertaining read, but not as good as the first two books, in my opinion.

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 141 comments Finished another of my books for this challenge, so here's my review for it:

Spellcaster (Spellcaster, #1) Spellcaster by Claudia Gray

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. It has great characters, who are believable as real people. It also has a plot that grabbed my attention quickly, and then held it until the end. Plus, I think it's interesting how the magic works, and fantastic how well the author has combined those elements with the everyday so well that it feels like it could really work like that. There are some story threads left looser than I would have liked, which stops this book from being totally amazing to me, but the ending was mostly satisfactory, and I consider the book to be a great read.

Aakash (procrastinator) Hi. I m not going to read the second book. Sorry but it is very boring book. I started and read 20 to 30 pages but it is unable to keep me in it. I hope from next time I would be able to complete my challenge and I m going to take break from reading as I m not allowed, as there are going to be lots of exams to attend. I will return to reading in April after my 10 std will complete and take part again in this group activities. Wishing you all happy reading.

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 141 comments So, I started my third one in November, but with one thing and another, I never actually finished it until yesterday. I thought I'd come post my review on here anyhow though. So, here it is:

Lord Valentine's Castle (Lord Valentine, #1) Lord Valentine's Castle by Robert Silverberg

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I originally added this to the list of books I want to read at the recommendation of a friend who thought I'd enjoy it. He thought right. This was a fantastic read. The worldbuilding is amazing, the characters are wonderful, and the plot is excellent. I'm glad I read it, and look forward to reading the rest of the series.
