Tipping the Velvet question

I enjoyed "The Crimson Petal and the White" by Michael Faber as another modern take on a Victorian romp, but I wouldn't say he is necessarily a similar author to Sarah Waters on the whole.

Emma Donoghue's 'Frog Music' is terrific - comparable to 'Tipping' and 'Fingersmith' in that it is Victorian and gender identity is fluid. I also liked Donoghue's 'The Sealed Letter' and 'Slammerkin' ---
