A girl gets in trouble for partying. Gets in trouble with drugs. Judge sentences her to Africa to help at an orphanage. She’s bitter but ends up enjoying it and staying. The kids get kidnapped sometimes to either be used for soldiers or sold.

I can’t remember. Maybe last year.
Was it a physical book or an e-book?How old was the girl? High school or college age?
I read it on my phone. I think she was not in high school. She kept partying and getting in trouble and finally got in big trouble and the judge let her choose Africa or jail. I’m pretty sure. I hope I’m not making this book up in my head 😂. I think it was a typical preppy girl and handsome guy helping kids. And she eventually turns into a caring girl. At one point the bad guys of Africa are kidnapping the kids for military reasons. She goes home I think but comes back to stay.
