Allegedly was an amazing book. Basically, it's about a 16-year-old girl named Mary B. Addison who "Allegedly" killed a baby names Alyssa Richardson when she was 9 years old. She says she doesn't remember anything and doesn't talk during interviews and therapy sessions so no one really knows what happened. They all make the assumption it's her because apparently she was alone in a room with the baby when is happened. She's been in Baby Jail, which is worse than Juvie, and now she's in a group home for kids like her. The people in charge of the group home are not doing the best job and Mary gets hurt and targeted by a girl, Kelly. She wants more than anything to escape and is trying to study for the SATs so she can go to college, but it's hard. She meets a teacher who helps her, but on top of everything she suddenly gets pregnant with her secret boyfriend, Ted. She knows that this is the worst situation to be in because she will most likely have the baby taken away from her, since her supposed crime is killing a baby, so they probably won't trust her with one. She wants to keep her baby so she hires a lawyer to help her. IF you read the book, which you should since it was great, then you'll find out what really happened that night, along with whether or not her crime is false or true. You'll also find out if she gets to keep her baby or not. I think this book is one of the best ones I've ever read and it's definitely a really great book. It's got action and murder and revenge and even romance. It's a great book and an amazing read and I think lots of people would enjoy reading this book.
