(For Ezekiel - Kura)Sat in the bay window seat of Wren's room was the youngest princess. Her petite frame dressed up in more plainclothes made for warmth rather than style like her other dresses would be. Turning the page of her yellow tinged book, it was one on the history of the castle, though Wren had already read it once before it still kept her interest. Hoping to get some company from one of the servants if they weren't too busy that day if they weren't her door was quite literally open. She tucked a strand of her ginger hair behind her ear eyes darting around the book page hoping to absorb as much as Wren could.

Wren had been fighting between being well and being ill since Despair had ended, it wasn't very much fun being contained to bed and surrounded by medics. Overall the ginger was not having a fun time. When there was even the slightest chance of getting out of bed Wren took it without hesitation... which is what landed her back in bed in the first place. At some part of her week, there was a small amount of time she'd been able to leave her bed she did. Unfortunately, in the process, Wren managed to overexert herself and during a lesson with one of her tutors had fainted. This wasn't an uncommon thing for the youngest princess, and she wasn't hurt from the fall, but it was still cause for alarm after she'd just recovered. Now the princess was back in bed running a little warmer than normal and feeling a combination of both guilt and restlessness. There was a scolding of how she should have let the tutor know she was feeling unwell and as a result was put on bedrest for another week. Being sick was awful and she knew she must've given her family a bit of a scare. In fact one of the maidens had mentioned a brother visting, Wren had figured out it was Syannis by the way she'd acted, it was clear she liked her big brother very much! Wren did too! Well she liked all her family but of all of them Syannis was the only one who didn't treat her like she was a little kid.
Most of the guilt she was feeling stemmed from knowing that Wren had probably scared her eldest brother and it made her feel bad. Syannis himself had gotten hurt very bad not even three seasons ago and it certainly scared her even if she'd been brave. She knew that because Syannis had told her so! But thinking about how scared Wren had been when he was hurt made her feel even worse, making her shrink in the blankets and sheets of her bed. Oh he was probably going to come in and tell her what the medic had, about telling people when she felt ill. Frowning a bit the ginger anxiously played with her hair still antsy about bedrest but still guilty enough that she wouldn't get up without permission.
It wasn’t often Syannis ran through the halls of the castle. In fact the last time he remembered doing so was way back when his siblings were only young, and they were playing a rather distributive game of tag inside the palace walls. However this time was an acceptation, a rather large acceptation at that. Because, as most knew, Syannis loved his siblings. In fact he was more willing to see himself hurt then them. And, out of of his five siblings, he seemed much more possessive of his youngest sister who constantly seemed to get herself sick. Now this wasn’t something abnormal. Wren being sick wasn’t overly strange dare he say. But when he got a urgent message from one of the maidens saying his precious youngest sister had fainted in class, Syannis thinks he had reason to panic. Therefore leading to him running through the castle halls. He had dropped everything he had been doing and sprinted his horse back home, pushing both of them as fast as they could go. He had practically leapt from his horse once inside the gates, not even waiting for them to slow. Any ground shock he might of felt was nothing compared to how hard his heart was hammering. He kept reliving his own touch with death the whole painstakingly slow ride. Kept feeling the blood coat his hands, the pain slicing through his whole body, the smell of flesh burning and could only imagine that happening to Wren. He knew it was unlikely, but the fear still remained until he saw for himself. His scar own still remained, a rather large pale circle in his abdomen in case he ever forgot how close he was to leaving his siblings. He ran through the giant palace doors which had already been opened anticipating the panicked princes arrival. Most of the servants dodged out his way as he weaved through the halls, some dropping their loads as he flew past. Blankets and spilled fruit trailed in his wake but Syannis had no time to stop and help. He would send his sincere apologies later, currently he had more important matters to attend to. However one servant failed at dodging out his way, him running full speed into her as he swung around a blind corner. Syannis actually cursed as he stumbled backwards, his hand shooting out to stop whoever he had run into from falling. The poor maid tried to side step him, letting him go past while mumbling apologies but Syannis held her tight, one of his hands clamping down on her shoulder to keep her still.
“How is she!” He demanded before noticing the absolutely terrified look in the poor girls face.
He realized he must looked wild, charging through the halls and leaving a heck of a mess in his trail. Not very princely of him but Wren took priority over all of that noble correctness rubbish. All his siblings did in fact. Closing his eyes, releasing the maids shoulder and taking a deep breath, Syannis forced his racing pulse to calm before asking again.
“Wren, do you know how Wren is?”
The maid seemed petrified still, having no idea what to do with the frantic prince, but she still replied.
“She….. She’s fine your highness. She’s running a little warmer than usual but the fall hasn’t seemed to harm her and she already seems ready to get up and move, your highness.” She stammered a slight wobble in her voice.
“Thank you.” Syannis said making a mental note to request giving the girl a higher pay that month.
She bowed as he moved past, this time just walking…. Fast, but at least it wasn’t running.
Soon he was at Wrens door where medics and a maiden stood discussing something outside.
“Our prince,” they turned to face him both bowing at the sight of him.
Seeming to read the question on his face the maiden replied before he even asked. “Wren is perfectly fine though we have bedridden her for another week to keep her safe.”
Syannis nodded his gratitude letting out a sigh of relief. So the girl before did know what she was on about.
Wren was ok.
“She’s expecting you.” The maiden said a slight flush to her cheeks as she looked at him.
Syannis smiled, so that’s who sent him the letter
“Of course, thank you.” He said giving the maiden a wink before slipping into Wrens room.
“Knock knock,” he said lightly shutting the door into his little sister rooms. “How’s my little sis?” He asked taking on his usual relaxed demeanor, easy smile on his face, one hand tucked into a pocket at his, his black hair flopping over his eyes. Though he knew he would still look a little flustered. His clothes ruffled his hair wind whipped despite his mask of calmness. He was fine with Wren knowing he panicked, it showed how he cared for her. But he didn’t want to seem that panicked as to make her feel guilty or freak her out. His eyes automatically flicked over her as he talked, taking in every part of her. However, despite what he was trying to prevent, she seemed more guilty and annoyed then actually sick and in pain. Which was better then being sick. Very much better but he still didn’t want her feeling guilty. So now it was time to cheer up his baby sister.
“Now serious question,” he started, perching at the edge of her bed folding his arms in his lap like it was serious pep talk time. “Did you faint just so you could get out of class? Or did you want me back home that bad?” He asked letting a smile play across his lips. “I mean I know you love me but there are much more easier ways summon me. And i’m sure I could write you out of class for a day if you wanted it that bad.” He said reaching out a hand to ruffle her ginger hair playfully. He guessed neither of those reasons were true but he knew his baby sister couldn’t help her bad habit of being sick. And she had most likely heard the normal pep talk of not over doing herself many many times before he arrived and he didn’t think she need to hear it again. So Syannis opted for a more sibling banter type approach cause there was nothing better than cheering up his little baby sister.

The chambers of the youngest princess, it's very well lit with as much natural lighting as possible, there is a fireplace that almost always is lit and going. To one side behind a covering is where she ready's herself with the help of the staff. Often times bound to it her father has tried to make it as homely as he can give her bookshelves, plush seating, and a wonderfully comfortable bed for the times when she falls ill.
