Hello, friends! I'm so glad we're teamed up. :)

For those who may not know, I'm Andrea from Texas. I'm doing NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) during November, and the holiday season is always really busy for me, as I love baking and my tutoring job is crazy with the Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks and cramming in what assistance I may give the kids in between and around those holidays.

Do y'all have a plan on how you want to approach this challenge?

I am hoping to get a book done for each category, but I'm not sure I'll make it in the time frame. If I do, I might not read fat books for every category, but I do have some fat ones scheduled, so we'll see how many of those get fit in.

My first book will be . I'm currently on page 64 (out of 379), so I'll get the full three points for it. (I won't have time to get back to it until Monday, once the game starts.) It will work for #2 published in November (Nov. 3, 2015; English version).

Which book will you read first? for which category?

Hi, I'm Kellyn from Oregon, but y'all can (should :P) call me Kell! November is going to be wild for me with NaNo, and I have no idea how December will go, but we'll see, I suppose!

I'm planning on reading A Royal Masquerade by Allison Tebo - released in November - for my first book!

As for how to do this challenge, I'm also going to try to make a book for every category, but if I don't, I don't. :)

Absolutely! I'd love to read a bit more than I have recently, but getting my love of reading back would be a nice bonus! :P Thankfully, I have a few sure-to-be-zingers ready!

Hannah, that's the cool thing about the non-competitive team. The length of book doesn't matter as much.

The next Kindle book I'm reading is over 700 pages. It's a collection of novellas (novels?), and I'm hoping it'll be good.

Quick question, are we supposed to do all three reading sections (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years), or can we choose which one we want to do? :)

They are broken down by dates.

The Thanksgiving tasks come up first, from Nov. 19 through Dec. 9.

Christmas section is up next, from Dec. 10 through Dec. 30.

Finally, New Year's from Dec. 31 through Jan. 20.

So, right now, the only ones we may work on are the ones for Thanksgiving, which Melanie has posted in our review thread. Each of us may read up to ten books, one per category per person.

Does that make sense?

Andrea, I’m going to tentatively try for for leaves on the cover. It’s 540 pages, so it would be 6 points.

For decorations on the cover, I’ll read (Christmas lights). 224 pages= 3 points

I’m busy enough I’m just going for ten points this round, so I’ll probably round it out with a novella for another category.

I actually love the original cover best on Sweet Sanctuary. I think it's sweet, and I love the colors.

Yeah the colours are really nice! I just don't prefer the couple on the front. :)

Rosalyn, if you want to back up and reread starting at page 50 on Sweet Sanctuary tomorrow, you can get 4 points for the book, rather than 3 (since that will mean you're reading 300 of the pages rather than only 273). Up to you. Just let me know.

I'm struggling through NaNo a day at a time this year but I'm determined to do it. Hence the almost-no-reading for me this month!!

That's exactly how I feel too, Hannah!! :p I've been doing all my writing at night, so sometimes, I can get some reading done in the afternoon.

I don't know what happened to L.A.'s comment ... maybe it accidentally deleted somehow.

I'm wondering if I should try writing at night again. Now that I've finished editing the thirty chapters I've already written, I'm struggling to get into the rhythm of writing new words.
