P. Pherson | 24 comments I find as I get older, I become thankful for more things.

When I was younger, I used to say "I hope I live long enough to finish this tale", which I said as a joke cause I had some many years ahead of me :) Now I still say that at times, but it has a different meaning....

But...if I had not gotten older, I am not sure I could not write the same tale. I learned a lot of things along the way, that I might have missed, or not been able to capture in my story.

I will say I am thankful that I have the freedom, the time, the presence of mind, to tell the story that has been in me for a long time. I pray often over the message of it, the success of reaching others, and capturing the meaning that it is meant to convey. I do at times feel an active hand helping me to shape it.

I am also thankful cause in its own small way, it gave my daughter and I something to work on together. She has been astray for a very long time.

Last, I'd say, I am thankful to have been on the journey with my characters and the many things they taught me along the way. While they are completely made up, I've learned so much, and gained so much insight, in just trying to tell their stories.

But I'd not mind also being thankful for readers....I could use some of those ;)
