this time of year is always busy!

I am in of course. Not my best weekend but I always read something even on the busiest days:)

I am in, will be able to read a little as I have to rest up as I am in for day surgery the day before. Also good excuse to stay in the airconditioning so hot and smoky here in Central Queensland and i expect that will continue next week.

The news out of Queensland about the fires isn't good Noelene. Hopefully they can get them under control. Good luck with your day surgery :)

Probably not a good month to have a read a thon with everyone busy with something - but like you say, we're still reading :)

Thank you. We had to evacuate our whole town of 8000 this afternoon. Latest update no damage to town. Roads are blocked. Hopefully will be able to return tomorrow

We are safe. I live in Gracemere on an acreage. Have never experienced the wind like it. Very hot and smoky. In this part of the world we are used to cyclones and floods. Exit from Gracemere took over an hour to travel about 12 km to Rockhampton. Wind is picking up again but now heading more north. Situation continues to change. We are home. Had to rewash the load of washing I had left in the machine because we got such short notice.😊

Good to hear Noelene! Such a worry with fire - it can be so unpredictable and incredibly fast! Glad you're home and safe :)

I’m on semi-hiatus on GR but I’m so glad I did set calendar on my phone for this readathon, I’ll definitely come join next week guys! Can’t wait :)
