Luke (korrick) | 2004 comments I'm thinking either for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf or Wit for this one.

Carol (carolfromnc) Just discovered Chilean-born, Vancouver-residing, dissident playwright and performance artist, Carmen Aguirre, from a blurb on Edelweiss, and was intrigued.
In February, there's a new release of Chile Con Carne (no GR record yet) which includes 3 of her early plays (Chile Con Carne, ¿QUE PASA with LA RAZA, eh?, and In a Land Called I Don’t Remember – all of which treat the theme of exile). Or I may try to find a copy of The Refugee Hotel.

Carol (carolfromnc) I also still haven't read any of Lynn Nottage's plays, which strikes me as criminal. All of these 3 appeal.

Ruined
By the Way, Meet Vera Stark
Sweat

Sookie Carol - Changes by Ama Ata Aidoo is a novel, isn't it?
Also I would highly recommend "Intimate Apparel" by Lynn Nottage, its a slightly longer play but its a treat.

Aubrey - I am making through this list slowly. Its a great way to get introduced to new playwrights and go through their catalogue. I don't always agree with the list's considerations, but it provided a good starting point.

I’ll check tomorrow, sookie. The article I was reading yesterday may have been in error.
