Although you will not need to make selection posts like in the PtP, your teammates might like ideas for what to read so sharing what you're reading could be very helpful. If you have any question if your book qualifies, it would be better to find out before you read it - ask your teammates or in the Q&A/Announcement thread.

Books must be 90 pages and MPG (Main Page Genre) Romance. Contemporary Romance, Historical Romance, Paranormal Romance or similar is acceptable, but it must be romance. Audiobooks and rereads are ok. Books can only be read once per person during the challenge even if it fits multiple categories. The same book can be read by teammates though. Once the task for the date is announced, you may not tag a book so that it fits or edit any lists - this must be done before the date begins.

The dates will begin on Saturdays at 6 PM EST, at that time the task for each date will be announced. Books must be completed and posted by the following Friday at Midnight EST, except when 'Visiting the Family' when you will have until the second Friday. Roses will be awarded before the next date begins. Each date we will be working towards spelling out B-A-C-H-E-L-O-R. The potential tasks for each letter will be posted in advance, but you will not know which task will be used until the date begins.

Roses are earned by:
🌹 The first rose per team is earned for reading 4 books fitting the task during the date.
Bonus roses may be earned by:
🌹 The team that finishes 4 books and posts in the Q&A/Announcement thread first wins a bonus rose. Note, posting is required to earn this rose.
🌹 Teams with each member completing the task (with a minimum of 6 books read) earn an additional rose.
🌹 Teams finishing 8+ books during the date win an additional rose.

Teams will not be eliminated even if they earn no roses, they will have a chance to catch up by earning additional roses on other dates. Players will be eliminated if they do not complete the task on two consecutive dates. Eliminated players will not be replaced. Remember, players are allowed to read multiple books for a given date in order to earn bonuses and/or to make up for teammates who do not read their book or who have been eliminated.

Hi everyone!! I recognize all the names here but I don't think we've been on teams together before - at least not that my poor brain can remember in recent times ;-) I look forward to getting to know you all!

I am from Indiana. Brownsburg, to be exact, which is a suburb of Indianapolis. For those maybe not as familiar with US geography, I'm about 3 hours south of Chicago.

I have 2 sons, 18 and 22, a husband and doggie. I work full-time in the marketing department of a large accounting firm. My passion is reading and, as a by-product, Goodreads! I've been a part of this group since 2013. Amazing to think how time flies!!

We have to come up with a team name.... any ideas?

I'm Susan. I live in north Alabama, but am proud to be a Cajun girl from south Louisiana.

My husband and i have five girls that range in age from 27-17. The oldest three live on their own. Daughter number 4 is finishing up her first semester at the University of Alabama where she is a member of the Million Dollar Band (can you tell I'm a proud mama? Lol) ,and Daughter number 5 is a junior in high school. I work full-time as the admin assistant at an electrical construction company in Birmingham. I am a former elementary school teacher who is an avid reader. Romance is my favorite genre.

As for names, I don't have a clue lol I'm a go with the flow kind of person, so I'll be happy with almost anything.

I live on the Northcoast of California, a couple hours from the Oregon border. I have two kids, both grown, and one adored grandchild. I’m a senior child support officer, a job that I love. I also volunteer 1 day/week at our local library. I’m also an avid reader, and book collector. I tend to gravitate toward romance, but I love fantasy/sci-fi and other genres too.

My oldest just had my first Grand-Baby who is now 6 months old and our youngest is going to UTSA. We are now living just outside of Houston. My husband just retired from 30 years in the Air Force & I stay @ home.

I read MF & some MM only romance but most sub genres of that. My Faves are HR & PNR.

Hi! I’m Jodi from Idaho. This will be my first challenge/team event. I’m newer to Goodreads and haven’t used it a lot so I may need some help, lol!! I have been married for 18 years and have 2 daughters. My oldest has autism and is 22 and my youngest is 16. I obviously love to read AND I love all the Bachelor shows which is probably why I chose this challenge to be my first! I love all romance but also read from many other genres. I am lucky enough to work from home which allows me time to enjoy all my hobbies! Aside from reading, I do jigsaw puzzles, knit, crochet, needlepoint, cross stitch, scrapbook... anything crafts! I love spending time outside working in my yard/garden (when it’s not winter) and I have 2 Dachshunds and 2 cats :)

So....we didn't exactly follow the theme of "Book Boyfriends"....Ooops. I focused on the whole Bachelor aspect.

Yes,I sent the request to her on Wednesday. I've been travelling this week so was popping in intermittently.

It is a totally new challenge, so we'll see how it goes!

One of the bonus roses is to be the first team to read 4 books and post in the Q&A thread. It can be any 4 team members.


If we want to try and take advantage of this, I'm going to suggest that any one of us can post for that - we don't need to wait for me to see the 4 books and then go post. I say this because as the call is Saturday evening, it's likely all 4 books could be done that evening or early on Sunday but I am not usually able to get online too early on Sundays (church) so if someone else sees 4 books done, I say go ahead post for it (assuming someone else hasn't won already).

Having said that, I don't want anyone to feel rushed or pushed to read faster or more than they are comfortable doing. This challenge is a minimum of one book a week and that is fine with me. The way it is set up, if other team members read faster/more, we can get bonuses for it but that doesn't mean every team member has to feel pressured to read more than one. (I hope that all made sense).

This should be a fun challenge... I'm looking forward to it!!!

Just a heads up, I have been awake since 2 am so i wont be any help trying to get the first bonus roses. Sorry, y'all. My sleep schedule has been all messed up for like a week.

You post here. Novella's are fine as long as they meet the page minimum (90 pp). It can be helpful for the captain in a challenge if your post includes labels, but not required.

I'm more concerned about your qualification. There isn't anything in the blurb that suggests a character is wealthy and there are no tags. The title, of course, indicates wealth so it is probably fine but you should double check in the Q&A thread. It might seem picky but the task itself was pretty explicit that it should be noted in the blurb or be tagged, so we should be sure before going forward.

Okay, wait, I'm sorry. I missed the very last line that says "Note" I think I skipped over that thinking it was something from the author but not about the book itself. So your book should be fine.

How do you copy the book or book link with the picture? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Is this book MPG romance? I didn't see any genres listed, not sure if it was a glitch or it just isn't shelved with any genres. If not, it doesn't qualify. I'm sorry to be so strict, because obviously this should work, but that is a big 'must' in the rules.

Over the box where you post a comment you see the add book/author Click on that and then type in the title of your book in the search part. A list of books will come up. Click on the one that is your choice. If your book doesn't come up it may be on one of the following pages. If it is not you can always put the book title and the author's name to limit the search results. At the bottom of the search results it will say either a link or cover you pick link if you want the name of the book. You pick cover if you want a picture of the book make sure that's clicked before you choose your book. Did that make sense?

Great explanation Mamacita! But remember, you need to be on a browser, not the app if you aren't on a computer. If I need to add a link and I'm on my phone, I will use the browser, but you need to make sure you are in desktop version, not mobile version.

Ah. That's GTK. I always use the browser on my phone & never the app as there is very little you can do from the app, so I didn’t know that.
