What Light by Jay Asher - 3 stars

Decided to read this young adult story on a whim to get into the holiday spirit. A sixteen-year-old girl travels with her family each year from Oregon to California to sell trees from their Christmas tree farm. She interacts with one of her best girlfriends and develops a romantic interest in a local youth dealing with a past issue. Reminded me of the Hallmark romance movies my parents watch. I found it sweet and a bit sappy, but I am not the intended audience. It is aimed at teens, especially those that enjoy stories about romantic, friendship, or family relationships.

I'd forgotten this was on my TBR, and it's a Christmas book! I will have to read it before the year ends!

It was a sweet little story. You all inspired me to read a Christmas-related book, which is usually not something I do!
