Please also remember that series buddy reads should have a recommended speed for reading and take place in one thread per series or subseries.

Please use spoiler tags, chapter numbers and book names where applicable to keep discussion moving and spoiler free.

It is requested buddy reads not be started on the 1st or 15th of the month so people don't get overwhelmed with group reads.

I've been looking for an excuse to reread Remnant Population, I loved it so much. I'm sad it looks like it'll never be on the group shelf, but everyone should read it!

I'm interested in Remnant Population! Right now it looks like February would probably be better for me.

Also, were there folks interested in doing a BR of Black Leopard, Red Wolf? It comes out Feb 5. I would be okay starting then or waiting a bit.

What about The Forgotten Beasts of Eld by Patricia A. McKillip? There was much talk of this book in the "What are you Reading" thread. Anyone want to do a buddy read? Maybe in the second half of February?

I definitely want to read this. It seems like the sort of book that has a good shot at getting voted onto the monthly read selections, so I wasn't sure if we should wait a couple of months or just dive right in. Either way, I'm game!

I'm in for Beasts of Eld as well.

It sounds like Feb is already getting busy, so we might as well delay BLRW a month or two to see if it gets voted on. Plus I feel like it'll be a hard one to get right away for anyone who relies on library books.

Since a few people seem interested in The Way To The Stars by Una McCormack, I'd propose a BR for that. Maybe in February or March?

I think I suggested it. But if Jan. 8 works for everyone else that would be fine for me. I can still start reading on that date, I just won't be able to post before the tenth.

Are any Way to the Stars people also reading Remnant Population? That one starts on Feb 10th. Unless you meant January 10th? Since it's now scheduled for Jan 8th.

I'm not yet committed to any BR, so I'm fine with any date for Way to the Stars (apart from the usual 1st and 15th for the group reads)

Hello all, I’m returning to the land of the living reading and have a LOT of catching up to do on group reads and buddy reads and challenges etc...

I just got caught up with the “what else are you reading” thread and there was a lot of chatter about Lynn Flewelling’s Nightrunner series. I’d love to read Luck in the Shadows so I was wondering whether any folks might want to join? Say in late February or early March...?

Someone say yes to Anthony cause I will totally bounce in and probably re-read. =)

It'd be a re-read for me, and I am fully on board! The one thing I'll say is that this one and the next one, Stalking Darkness, were originally designed by Flewelling to be one book, and they read very much as one longer novel. So we should maybe fold both into the same buddy read?

Definitely in for Luck in the Shadows! Was just trying to figure out where it could fit in my TBR Challenge list (I decided against "12. Book with a luck symbol" for fear of being too literal). Late February is great!
