History: Born to Cealleach and Amadeus, Isis grew up with little knowledge of any relatives. She vaguely remembers a Great-aunt Evangeline visiting several times, but she was never allowed in on those conversations. Most of her time was spent playing with her little brother Medwin, who was four years younger.
She lived out in the middle of nowhere, far away from prying eyes, since her parents had a lot of secretive business going on. Again, Isis was always excluded from all that, even though it’s not like she would really understand any of it because she was so young.
While her parents favorited Medwin, they brought him everywhere and normally left her behind, knowing that she would inevitably get in trouble, but no one would be around to notice because they lived in the middle of nowhere. Fortunately, the whole house was child-proofed, and the worst she could do to accidentally hurt herself would be to trip or drop a book on her foot. It was because of their favor for Medwin that Isis was left with a friend in the city while her parents took Medwin on a trip that was surrounded with secrets. Seeing as it was definitely not a vacation, it probably wasn’t a child-friendly trip, and since Isis didn’t know any better she was somewhat unhappy to stay with their friend, Augusta.
Augusta was obviously not happy to be burdened with the five year old, and most of the time Isis spent her time outside. Meals were small, and Isis was probably underfed for this portion of her childhood, but what could anybody do? Augusta wasn’t married and her job was very low-paying.
Eventually, after a month, Augusta came to the conclusion that Isis’ parents had either died or just weren’t coming back. Augusta wouldn’t have been surprised either way. Based off of purely rumors, Isis’ mother had killed most of her family, except for her aunt Evangeline and Evangeline’s family, out of revenge. But, like Cealleach and Amadeus, their relatives lived out beyond civilization. It didn’t seem like Cealleach got very attached to people, except apparently Amadeus and Medwin.
Augusta just sighed resignedly to her fate to care for Isis, assumed Cealleach, Amadeus, and Medwin were dead, and went on. Isis didn’t like her life here, mainly for the lack of food and care. But she didn’t mind playing outside all day. Isis had a love for the outdoors, and messing around with bugs and plants soon became her favorite thing. In fact, she grew to hate the indoors. Augusta’s house was small, and it seemed every day more shack-like than she remembered it. Isis didn’t even like her own room, which was cramped, dusty, and part library, with Augusta’s books stacked on every surface. So she spent every waking moment outside, trudging indoors only to eat dinner and go to bed.
When she was eight, a final word came that Cealleach, Amadeus, and Medwin were reported dead. Augusta went on a muttering rant about her no-good parents who left her with a dirty urchin, and she only put up with Isis for another year after that. Shortly after Isis’ ninth birthday, Augusta said that she’d had it and threw her out.
Isis spent most nights in the alleyways with some other street urchins, and in the day she scraped for food, sometimes stealing from a bakery or something from a food cart.
When she was a little older, around fourteen, she met Finian St. Clair. They became good acquaintances, and eventually he told her about work at an apothecary’s. She’s been working for Merlot Demers in exchange for room and board ever since.

Appearance: Mia has dark hair with natural, caramel highlights to her shoulders and bangs that she usually sweeps off to one side or clips back off her forehead. Her bangs always seem to be in desperate need of a trim when she lets them loose as they hang over her eyes, but she normally has her hair up in a ponytail. Her eyes are hazel, but they usually appear to be a warm caramel, dark brown, or sometimes a mottled green in different lightings. Her height is about 5’7 and a half, and she weighs roughly 122 pounds. Normally her skin is a shade a little darker than cream, but she’s tanned considerably during the summer months. Now her skin tone is a light brown with several freckles on her cheeks, nose, shoulders, back, and elbows. Her skin once was silky smooth, but now it’s rougher and calloused, especially on her hands, back, and feet. Her face is the only spot on her body that still has skin soft to the touch. She has an oval shaped face with gently curving lines and petite facial features. There isn’t a sharp line anywhere on her face, even her cheekbones are smooth and rounded. Her ears, chin, and nose are smaller, but she has a broad forehead, wide eyes, and full lips with a natural, reddish tint, though this may be because she bites her lips frequently and tears the tissue off, leaving the skin irritated and inflamed. Her cheeks are naturally rosy, though it’s become less obvious as she’s tanned so much lately, and she has dark, round eyebrows. Her eyelashes are terribly short, but some of this is due to the fact that she pulls them out when she’s stressed or irritated. She has a muscular build but is still curvy in all the right places, somehow retaining the desirable hourglass figure. She’s mostly all muscle with thick sheets of it on her back and front torso. Her abs are well-defined, and so are her biceps, triceps, arms, thighs, and calves. Her feet are large for her height; she wears a size eight and a half shoe, yet her hands are petite with slender, elongated fingers. Her nails are always in good shape, but she never lets them grow too long. She purposely keeps them short so that they won’t get in the way of anything, but she leaves them just long enough so that she can pry things open with them. Her legs are long and lean, giving her her height, but her torso is much shorter.
Mia normally wears clothing that is both comfy and easy to maneuver in. Practicality trumps style in her wardrobe every time. Cargo pants and tank tops with thick straps are staples in her closet, and she prefers long, loose articles of clothing. Her wardrobe is far from bright and flashy; she likes neutral colors, earth tones, and things that blend in easily with her environment as she prefers to not be noticed. She’s never seen without her worn leather jacket or black combat boots, which are beat up from continual wear and have frayed laces. She almost never wears shorts, even in hot weather, but she will wear appropriate clothing in the winter time. Her nails are never painted, and her makeup is mostly light and natural. Heavy makeup isn’t really her thing, and to her, it’s a time waster, especially with her occupation.

Appearance: Iliana has thin brown hair to her upper back, every strand as straight as a board and each with a natural shine. Her eyes are a light blue, and some parts of the iris even seem to be a glassy, clear color. She has a few flecks of white-gray and indigo scattered around in them, but other than that her eyes are purely sky-colored. Her light pink lips are normally glossed over with some sort of neutral-toned lip gloss, her eyelids shadowed with a very light brown or sometimes white, and eyelashes touched up with mascara. She never goes to work without some makeup on, and for lack of a rosy complexion, she normally brushes on some blush, too. Most of her facial features are rather thin, especially her lips and nose. She has raised cheekbones, and her chin has a sharper end to it than any other part of her triangular face. Iliana’s long, graceful neck leads to very visible collarbones, and broad shoulders. She stands at about 5’6 and weighs around 120 pounds. Her build is rather petite, with thin arms, skinny legs, and a slim waist. With few curves, she’s definitely more slender that not.
Iliana is almost always wearing her baby blue scrubs for work, and her uniforms fill the majority of her closet. On the days she doesn’t work though, she has some skirts, pants, and several t-shirts or blouses. Her favorite thing to wear is either a loose, black, mid-calf-length skirt and a red, floral blouse or a pair of gray or blue jeans and one of her t-shirts.

Personality: Iliana is a smart, caring girl, dedicated to her work as a nurse. She is definitely an introvert, and is sometimes a little more reserved, but she’s a positive person and tries to pour in hope to her patients.
Since she was young, Iliana has always loved playing with little children. She’s connected with them, and in return they normally flocked to her for some reason. She does really well with them, finding ways to interest them or to communicate with them. Because of her love for kids, she always wanted to be a pediatrician or another type of doctor. Iliana is currently a nurse at a children’s hospital, Saint Raphael’s, working for the head doctor, Sebastian Wells.
However, Iliana is mainly more open to spending time with children than she is with other people. She’s not exactly the most confident person, and she’s often insecure around people closer in age to her. It’s mainly because of this that she finds herself not talking as much in front of others. Iliana hates the idea of being embarrassed, and she’d do anything to avoid it, which, in this case, is being more reserved in social occasions.
Iliana is a definite introvert. After a long work day at the hospital, she wants to go home and spend several hours to herself, which is rather easy since she lives alone in a little apartment. She never looks forward to any type of evening party or event, and would do anything to get out of them. She’s made friends with some of the other nurses, but not enough to go to any work outings with them either. She’s actually really content with the way things are right now. She likes to spend time with the children she works with, and that’s pretty much it.
Iliana always prefers to see things positively, though. She hates it when the kids lose hope, or when people are negative or down on themselves. As part of a nurse’s job, Iliana thinks that she should do her best to cheer her patients up. She’s one of the favorite nurses at St. Raphael’s, and it’s mostly because of that. Iliana loves spreading hope, but she comes down hard on herself if she ever catches herself thinking negatively.
At the same time, Iliana has had her fair share of disappointments. She realized that she could never keep up in medical school, and because she decided to think realistically that time, she forced herself to settle for being a nurse instead of a doctor. One of Iliana’s pet peeves is when she gives false hope to herself or makes promises she knows she can’t keep. She obviously wants to think positively, but at the same time she is aware of what she can and can’t do.

Now she has a few scars and some bruises, but she always covers them up with as much concealer as possible. She has a heart-shaped face with full, pink lips and a slightly turned up nose splattered with a few freckles. Hazel’s favorite color is sky blue, and she can almost always be seen wearing something of that color whether it be a dress, a necklace, or a hairband. Appearance: Maevis has big blue eyes nearly the same shade as ice with tiny, thin ribbons of gray and white curling and twisting around the pupils. Her naturally dark brown hair (which she usually keeps in a high bun or ponytail) reaches a little past her shoulders but has been dyed jet black with long, purple-streaked bangs that cover her eyes. Her skin is a little paler than is usual from spending most of her time indoors, and her height is a little over 5’6. If she stands as straight and tall as she can, she can appear to be an additional inch taller, but since she prefers to slouch in the shadows, she seems shorter than she actually is. She has a slim, petite figure with a long torso and long legs and an angular, bony face. Her curves are basically nonexistent, but no one would ever know, since she prefers very baggy, loose clothing anyway. She has small hands, graceful, long fingers, and unusually small feet for her height, and her nails are extremely short and somewhat rough from being bitten constantly. She also has a tattoo of a small pine tree on the inside of her right foot, a phoenix tattoo behind her left shoulder, and a tattoo of a dark angel surrounded by her dark powers on the outside of her upper right arm.
Normally, she prefers to wear dark eye makeup and nail polish and black, blue, or purple lipstick. She usually wears loose, black, long-sleeved shirts, dark sweatpants or jeans, and long coats to match and heavy, clunky boots with her favorite, knee-high black and gray striped socks. Personality: Maevis hardly ever says a word, even when she’s alone, but she never makes a sound in class. This has led most of the other students, staff, and some of the teachers to believe that she is either stupid, stubborn, or a mix of the two. The truth is that she has bad social anxiety and consequently becomes ‘mute’ in a classroom setting. Outside of school, she feels slightly more comfortable talking but will only speak if she has to. She does have one friend whom she is comfortable talking to, because she has known him since she was a child, and she tends to stick closely to him at school or places where there are lots of people and noise since she feels safer around him and he can help her with things she has trouble with.
She loves to be creative and decorates things like little, glass bottles, keys, or small boxes with ribbons, pendants, jewelry, and anything else she likes. She also spends much of her time absorbed in the written word and has books stashed throughout her room because her bookcases are crammed full of all kinds of books. At least a few times a month, she takes out all her books and organizes them in a different way than the way they were previously arranged. Sometimes she orders them by title, date published, author, genre, or anything else she can think of. Her room is typically a mess, but her books are always organized.
Most of the time, she has a cynical, pessimistic view of the world and of people but keeps her thoughts to herself for fear of being ridiculed or bullied. She believes most people are brainless, immature idiots but doesn’t think much better of herself either.
