Lusie & I are considering to Re-read the whole of Harry Potter series together starting around mid Jan.

Wondering if anyone is interested? If yes, is starting mid Jan ok & what pace will you prefer (1 book per week, 1 book per month, somewhere in between)?

If you haven't read the series or all of the series before, you are still welcome to join us :)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Thanks Tien for setting up this thread :)

I've already kicked of my rereading by reading The Tales of Beedle the Bard which I read last week.

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments I started with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone yesterday and finished it today.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling

I still love it, though now I'd give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars. I feel like this is for younger readers.

I'm not sure which one I like more...the film of the book. I think it is a tie for me. It is funny to see all the differences. It's been a long time ago that I read the books, so I forgot some of the things that were different in the films.

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Since no one is joining me at the moment, I'm reading at my own pace.

I've read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2) by J.K. Rowling

I thought this was my least favourite books of the series, but I see I gave it 5 stars the first time. I enjoyed rereading it. Maybe I just didn't like the film as much as the other HP films, but the book was good.

I'm now reading book #3.

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 603 comments I recently read all the books, so I'm not quite ready for a reread yet. It's only been 6 months for me.

What I love about the series is when I read the books again, I find stuff that I missed before. So it's always seeming new to me.

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Yes that would be too early for a reread too. The last time I reread the books was not long after the last book was published. So for me it has been quite a while.

I have the same. You keep finding things you missed or forgot about.

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments I'm now ready to read the last book of the series.

Aaah!! I haven't been in a mood to read much the past couple of weeks, Lusie. I'm glad you enjoyed the reread!

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments That's okay Tien. I read less than usual too. It took me a month to read the whole series.

Thanks Tien!
