The Ending?

Hi everybody. I want to start by pointing out that I did read the first two books and I tried to read the last one, I really did try. I got about two hundred pages in and I just could not force myself to go on. With that being said I am curious about the way the author tied up the whole series, if someone would be so kind as to summarize the ending of the trilogy, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.
There's some plague and all the important people manage to survive it. Ky and Cassia are still together and happily will for all eternity (was this ever a real love triangle? Xander never seemed to have much of a chance anyway) and Xander finds himself a different girl and also lives happily ever after. That's all I can remember.
I personal thought the book left off on a good key. I think this one had a lot more action then crossed. I think I like Matched better but this one was actually pretty good!:) In the ending Ky gets sick, but they find the antidote, and save him. Xander falls in love with some one else, and everyone lives happily ever after!
