Jenifer | 15 comments I have already gathered my long list of new-to-me poets fo 2019. Here are the areas covered by my list —

Midwest poets (goal of 20 new-to-me poets)
Scottish poets (esp Kathleen Jamie)
Cycles of 100 tanka poems (hyakushu-uta; I found two volumes that are new-to-me to study the form with)
Pre-Islamic Arab poetry (this is not new-to-me, but I miss it)

Will provide short reviews as I progress. It is good to have goals ...

Hi Jenifer -
I've read a couple of Kathleen Jamie poems and enjoyed them. Super to see your list this today.
Fyi, the post seemed to be duplicated and I deleted the second one. I hope I haven't screwed up there -- please shout if I have.
Happy new year -
Sarah

Jenifer | 15 comments I don’t think I do have her on my list. Will definitely add her. Thanks for the tip!

The tanka cycles sound intriguing, Jenifer. Would love to know the titles! Happy new year!
