Happy New Year to you, too!
"I'm due with my second child in February,"
Congratulations! Again!
so we'll see if 50 turns out to be overly ambitious for a goal this year."
Parenting books, goodnight-to-baby books, books read to the soon-to-be older sibling... they all count :)

Lol, I've not been keeping track of the little kid books I read - if I did, it'd be easy to knock this challenge out of the park, haha! 1. The Good, the Bad, and the Furry - Tom Cox

PS, Arthur arrived on February 16th!"
Yay! Congratulations!!

4. Fresh From the Farm - Susie MiddletonThis is one of those cookbooks that's heavy on the narration. I enjoyed her stories of beginning a family farm on Martha's Vineyard. I made one of her recipes last year, and I've got several bookmarked for this season.

Still my favorite book. ❤"
This is one of those books that I so totally loved the first time I read it that I'm actually afraid to re-read it, in case I don't love it the second time around. (Although I might have already re-read it, so maybe I won't love it on the *third* time around.)

and I can't get my phone to let me directly reply to your comment, Tiffany, but this is easily my 14th or 15th reread and I feel it holds up, hehehe!

Sweet! :)
Sweet! :)
9. Mad Delicious: The Science of Making Healthy Food Taste Amazing - Keith Schroeder Oh cripes, how am I only at 9 books in June? I mean, I have a bunch in progress...

I know, right? I mean, it's not like you have kids to take care of! Geez, why are you so behind schedule?!?

13. Superfood Kitchen - Julie MorrisInteresting nutritional info in this one. Don't know how many recipes I'll make, but I learned a fair amount.
14. No Mud, No Lotus - Thich Nhat HanhWhoops, almost forgot to add this one. Finished it on vacation.
17. Poems for People With Children - John KenneyPresent from my in- laws. Hilarious.
With that, I'm going to sign off on 2019. Most of this year was insanely difficult, and I'm ready to leave it in the past.
It's been like 3 years since I've hit 50. 2020 is gonna be my year. I've started a stack. Fingers crossed.
Happy New Year!
I'm all for leaving bad years in the past, forgetting all about them, and anticipating new reads! Congrats on what you *did* read this year -- hopefully you enjoyed some -- and good luck for better times and lots of good reads next year! :)

I'm due with my second child in February, so we'll see if 50 turns out to be overly ambitious for a goal this year. I like making the attempt, though, so here I am.
Good luck to you all!
