Did you like the way their relationship played out? Why or why not?The romance was also one of things I loved about this book, but I really didn't feel like the story quite lived up to the first one. First of all I couldn't understand why Adrian pushed Nova away for so long. I get that he felt rejected after what happened in the first book, but Nova put herself out there repeatedly and he showed no interest. Then he seemed to just suddenly care about her again when it became convenient to the plot. Don't get me wrong I loved the story and I thought Adrian and Nova were really sweet, I just felt underwhelmed after the first book. I feel like the characters she established in the original book were completely different in this sequel. Adrian seemed very wrapped up in his alter ego and I just couldn't relate to him like I did in the first book. Originally, he just wanted to help people, but in this book it seemed like he cared more about the Sentinel than anything else. I do plan on reading the final book in the trilogy, and I'm hoping that it'll live up to the rest of the series. Despite some of the problems I had with the story I do think it was a good read and I recommend it to everyone else. What did you think? Do you agree with or do you have your own opinion on the story?
I started it today, I wonder if I'll like it as much as the first one! So far I'm getting back into it, though I'm glad to see I remember all the characters and plots pretty well.
It’s dangerous to stay the Sentinel but Adrian also can accomplish great things, so for his own sake he should let the Sentinel go but....
I feel like he should be honest with his dads already! I'm way less invested in his secrecy than Nova's, it's just a little annoying at this point honestly.
Gwyneth the child prodigy wrote: "@Daphne I think the Sentinel was annoying too. Adrian should have just given him up; it made everything so much more complicated."I feel like he his reasons for hiding so long don't hold up completely, and it became hard to believe after a point.
I just finished the book! I'm not entirely sure how satisfied I am with where it ended, but I did really enjoy it and gave it 4 stars.
Between the two of them definitely the Renegades, but I do think they got into some scary stuff in this book that I'm not really fond of. So a bit of a non answer, I guess!
I just finished this. I enjoyed it, but I wasn't sucked into it like Renegades. Loved Nova and Adrian's stolen moments. I am interested to see how she resolves all the secrets. Also, how is Adrian's mom really going to have died?
I LOVED THIS BOOK!! ADRIAN AND NOVA ARE DEFINITELY CUTE TOGETHER! I wonder how he got her to fall asleep. I was so mad when Frostbite stabbed Max! I know she was trying to hit Nova but still!! :(
I loved Renegades and Archenemies!! I want the last book eo I can finally see how everything plays out
