I finished Unidentified by Michael McBride and I really enjoyed it! Very creepy, potentially all too real.
I finished our group read author invite in two days because it was hard to put down!

The Dead LandsThis had all of the elements of a book I should have loved but it sort of fell flat for me. It was great for the first half of the book but then kind of fizzled out after that.
I finished a few days ago Autobiography of a face and i enjoyed it and then i finished the audiobook for hp and the deathly hallows. The audiobooks are very nice.
“The Information,” by James Glieck. Excellent. Not Horror, but the section on quantum mechanics may fill you with existential dread.
The MiniaturistEh, could have been better, in my opinion. The reveal of the miniaturist felt more like an after thought.

I have the American Vampire series on my TBR-pile. You recommend?

Sister by Rosamund Lupton.
Great storytelling. 4 stars.
The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle
Agatha Christie meets Groundhog Day. 4 stars.
Shadowland by Peter Straub audio versionBeyond Weird by Philip Ball science book about quantum mechanics

It was my first graphic novel and I wasn’t sure if I would like it. Yes, I recommend it. I have to read the next one. I want so see where this goes.
I have the 7 1/2 deaths....glad to see you have it four stars. I haven’t read it yet.

I loved Shadowland so much! I hope you do too.
Shdowland has been on my list since Ghost Story buy it's difficult to get hold of over here. Just finished Necronomicon: The Best Weird Tales
It took me ten months to finish it because I was dipping in and outf of it all last year. There were some truly outstanding takes in the collection but several missed the mark, for me anyway. Still classic reading though!
Not sure if this question fits in this particular thread, but I'll ask anyway. Last weekend I purchased The Last American Vampire and I just saw that it is a sequel to Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Slayer. Now my ? is, do I have to read Abraham Lincoln first to understand it?
Just finished NOS4A2U by Joe Hill. Awesome!!!Working on A. Lee Martinez’s “Gil’s all fright diner” fantastic and easy horror comedy.
I enjoyed the heck out of NOS4A2 as well. (If you want to learn more about Christmasland and Charlie Manx, I highly recommend this graphic novel: Wraith
.I finished
by Hanna Jameson and enjoyed it quite a bit. It's a post apocalyptic type story combined with a mystery.
I finished Wraith and although i enjoyed it there s something not clear in my head . i don t know :-)
I just finished
. I thought it was a pretty good story but the pacing was kind of off--too slow for the first part of the book and too hectic at the end. Even so, I enjoyed it.
I finished The Resurrectionist: The Lost Work of Dr. Spencer Black
3.5stars - mostly for the illustrations.
Nancy wrote: "Finished Horrorstör yesterday. Fun book."
I thought the illustrations really added to the story. :)

I have read Kill Creek, which was great. listened to Dracula and now I am reading The Outsider. I didn’t like Dracula that much and so far The Outsider is great.
Just finished
by Jack Heath and I cannot recommend this book highly enough! It was so addictive! Here's my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Thanks go to our members who voted! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I finished The Pigeon by Andrew Lennon and Christopher Motz. It was gory and bloody and lots of fun!
So far this year I've read these horror books:
- Pretty good. Not my favorite haunted house story, but definitely worth a read.
- The movie was way better, that's all I'll say.
- I'm a big fan of Junji Ito, so this was a hit for me.
- Another haunted house story, but unique enough that I really enjoyed it.
- I LOVED this book. Great characters, great story, creepy monsters. Sort of like Arrival meets creature horror.
I finished reading The Sea Was a Fair Master by Calvin Demmer and thought it was an excellent short fiction collection.
Justed finished reading Wellman's "Worse Things Waiting" a collection of his pulp stories from the late 1920s thru the mid 1950s...
I've just finished Bird Box , which was pretty good.Does anyone know the significance behind the number of birds at the start of each chapter? There's either one or two, but it doesn't seem to follow a pattern or is linked to past and present story.
Just finished the Variant Effect : Madhouse 3 - Burn by G. Wells Taylor. Not a standalone read so you would have to start at the beginning but they are all worth it. My favorite author since looking for "free" eBooks The Variant Effect: Madhouse 3 - BURN
Secrets to the GraveIt was okay. I got this at a Free Little Library so I didn't know it was the second book in a series. Maybe if I had read book one first, I would have enjoyed this one more.
