Reading the Detectives discussion

Happy New Year everyone!

I usually read a book set at Christmas around this time of year but fancied a change and wondered if there are any mysteries that are set around the New Year. Any suggestions?

Nine Tailors by Dorothy L Sayers also takes place at the new year. At least, that is when the book starts.

One of the Angela Marchmont books by Clara Benson which we read with the group a while ago, The Incident at Fives Castle, is set during Hogmanay celebrations in Scotland.
