Karen I received a free excerpt of Invincible for the purpose of my review. Right away the first paragraph grabbed me. I knew so many children in my neighborhood(myself included around my toddler years before I was adopted by my grandmother)who went through similar scenarios. This is an especially good book( based on just the first chapter) for survivors of childhood domestic violence and also for young people dealing with that situation right now.

Barrett Caldwell I received a free excerpt of Invincible for the purpose of my review. I think the beginning of the book gets you right away. as a domestic violence survivor being able to relate draws you in right away and I could feel my shoulders start to relax. Having the author relate to how you are feeling and putting the feelings you are feeling into words helps This is a great read. I look forward to reading the entire book.

Mary Ross As a member of Smiley360 "I received a free excerpt of Invincible for the purpose of my review." My opinions are my own. Though I did not grow up in a domestic violence situation this excerpt got my attention. I never really thought about the children that did and where they went or how they dealt with it. It opened my eyes to the fact that there are some people that did.

Brionna I received a free excerpt of Invincible for the purpose of my review. My review is strictly my own opinion. This book is an eyeopener for the majority of individuals that have not grown up in homes where domestic violence is prevalent. The vast amount of information that is presented in this book on the topic of domestic violence itself is very much needed and appreciated. This credible information allows those who do not have a understanding of this issue/topic to gain a complete understanding simple play reading this book. Also individual's that have and or are growing up in homes where domestic violence is present can also benefit extremely from reading this book. Invincible helps show individuals that are affected by domestic violence that their life does not have to be the negativity that they have been around all of their life. You can change your life for the better despite the events that have happened in the past. This is a really good read & I recommend mind this book to not only victims of domestic violence, but also to the general public.

Tammy Austin I received a free excerpt of Invincible for the purpose of my review. My review is strictly my own opinion. I have never experienced or have known anyone that has experienced domestic violence. This book has grabbed my attention and is wanting me to make myself more aware of domestic violence especially on kids. I think this book can make a difference in anyone's life weather they have experienced domestic violence or not. I think the more people that educate themselves on this topic then the cases of domestic violence may go down. People can help themselves and change their lives. I will definitely recommend this book and will be purchasing the full version.

Katherine I also received a free copy of a sample of this book in order to review it. One of my close friends grew up experiencing CDV. He talks about it a little with me, but is convinced he has overcome all of the issues he used to have because of it. I am not so sure, and the excerpt I've read so far gives me some guidance to what he might be feeling. Though the book is written to address those who have personally experienced CDV, it is a good read for anyone who hasn't experienced it and wishes to learn more. I would caution anyone who has personally experienced CDV that the author utilizes a lot of personal anecdotes to make his points. While I feel this is very helpful for someone who has not had experiences with CDV, it could be very triggering to someone who has. On the other hand, if someone were to resonate with these anecdotes, it could help the person understand that they are not alone. I am considering buying the full version in order to better understand how CDV affects these children in their adult lives and to better connect with my friend.

Kristin Bartlett "I received a free excerpt of Invincible for the purpose of my review." I was a victim of domestic violence and I read this to better understand what my son went through because he witnessed it for six years. I pray that my son can break the cycle of domestic violence, I hope that he can move on and make a good life for himself. I know he has been through a lot of trauma and I understand a little better now. It says in the book that extreme pain makes extreme strength and this is so true. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand a child who has been a victim of domestic violence.

Angela Castellini I received a free excerpt of Invincible for the purpose of my review. I am extremely excited that I came across the opportunity to read a sample of this book and I am hooked! As a survivor of childhood domestic violence, I know the toll it can take on a person. No two people have the same CDV experience, even those living in the same household, but it is the ability to empathize with the stories from the book that will undoubtedly give individuals hope. I look forward to reading the whole book, it should be a good read indeed.

Tiffany I have not personally been a victim of DV but as a teacher I have ran across it many times. This has been very helpful to get I to get into the head of students dealing with this issue and also helpful for me as their teacher to know what the best thig would be for me to help them. Thank you to smiley 360 for the free excerpt so that I had the opportunity to learn this great information.

Stephanie I was fortunate enough to receive a free excerpt of Invincible from Smiley 360 and am very glad I did. It was so informative. I have never personally been a victim of childhood domestic violence but after reading the number of people in the world who have been or are currently I feel very lucky. It is such a prominent problem in the world today but seeing that people can move on from their past is uplifting. Learning ways to deal with and cope with their experience with CDV can help heal people and make their futures much brighter. Definitely a must read for everyone.

Vanessa Devlin I was asked if I would like to read "Invincible" for a Smiley 360 mission. I said Yes. I grew up in a house with Domestic Violence. It is something that I do not like to talk about. I recommend this book to anyone that likes to read meaningful and heartfelt stories. Be prepared to cry. A powerful read.

Carolyn Kuntz I was able to read part of Invincible as part of a Smiley360 mission. My opinions are strictly my own. I found the book to be very powerful and a good resource with useful information. It's hard to believe the statistics with the number of children who have lived with domestic violence and those who are are living with domestic violence. The book describes a lot of the feelings experienced by those who have lived with or been a part of domestic violence. Addressing the fact that they feel guilty and that they weren't able to stop what was happening will help them become empowered and overcome their feelings of inadequacy and guilt. It's a very powerful book and I highly recommend it.

Laura Beach I was able to read some of the book as a member of Smiley360. The book was a very eye opening experience. I am fortunate enough to have not grown up in that kind of enviornment. This book gives you a birds eye view into this kind of violence. It gave me a better understanding and showed me how important it is to get awareness out there to help those in need. Overall I think its a very inspirational book.
