Has these been confirmed?? Because I've been hearing the rumour for years...I absolutely love the series :) The last one wasn't great, but the first 4 were amazing. It was what got me info proper writing, writing Artemis Fowl fanfiction :)
As of 2013 they were for sure going ahead with the project, which will be based on the first and second book. Sounds like the production company is the same that brought us Harry Potter, so I think a lot of readers will be happy about that. Still no major word on the cast or director, but it was on IMDB and I found a few other articles talking about it, so it looks like it is a go. Just a waiting game on getting the script and then people who are up for the challenge I guess!
I am in the middle of Lost Colony right now and it is dragging a little, but I still really like! A really different book than what I am used to reading, and the characters are AMAZING! Holly is too fantastic! haha

Yaaaaayyyyyy!!!!! :D Holly is so... Sassy. I love her so much :) Have fun with the end of that book mwhaha :P
Oh no...what does that mean!??! haha
I feel like these books are going to make such a fun movie, and it will be nice to see a YA movie that is not a love story at its core. We need more books like this and Enders Game and such to keep it new and interesting!

Haha, you'll see :PYeah true, YA movies all seem to be romantic... And the fantasy in this is actually believable, unlike all the 'girl moves to a small town. Mysterious boy goes to school' etc etc
Oh I'm so excited to see these as movies! I'm imagining these awesome CGI fairy people, especially the troll. My one concern is what Hollywood might do between Artemis and Holly but hopefully the movie will be really good.
If they try to make Holly and Aremis in love or anything even close to that I will literally KILL someone.... or at lest throw a tea bag in the theater(I did the same thing in Enders Game when they tried to make him and Petra a thing..)
Yeah one of my pet peeves is whenever movies completely make up a romance that never happened in the book.
I hope they get the casting right, I have a perfect image in my head of what they should look like and I'm afraid they'll be the opposite
I loved the series, but left my feels shattered in the last book. I'm sorta sad to say it, but it brought year to my... Rivers to my... Oceans to my eyes
It looks like Kenneth Brannagh (the man who brought us Cinderella) is directing the movie.http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplaylis...
I love that everyone is excited but super nervous for this movie! haha. I think it has potential to be great....but only if it's done right. And since most books are never done good enough I try to keep my expectations low!
What!!! I didn't know Artemis Fowl will be out on screen! Gah, I'm so so far behind, I bought them all and haven't even opened one. This will be in my top read from this day forward.
I was happy when I heard this movie would be made. Despite not liking the book to much, I still thought this film would be cool. TYhen my heart cracked when I saw t was Disney. I just had a feeling that Disney would ruin in. Even though they've told classic stories beautifully (Aladdin and Beauty and Beast come to mind) that was THEN and this is NOW. Of course this movie was lame.
