I just finished London Fog: A Biography. I'm not sure if it was published in the U.K. too. I read the American edition from Belknap/Harvard. It's somewhat rambling, but I liked it overall. Much of it is about London fogs in literature, which was honestly a little repetitive. I enjoyed the sections about the causes of them and also why it took so long before there was a determined effort to eliminate them, even after it was obvious they were deadly. I just posted my review of French Exit. I tend not to write much in those reviews - I feel as if some people go on too long. However, I want to add that it is amazing to me that Mr. DeWitt could make me actually like such a vile woman. I think this book is mostly about parenting, as in how NOT to.
