so I've finished this book in a day and the feeling I went through before finishing and just starting of not sure if I could carry on definitely changed after I hit the 20th chapter.(view spoiler)
Oh! Jess, you may want to class your post as spoiler. Use these tags (just remove all dots) At the beginning <.spoiler.> At the end of your post <./.spoiler.>
I should start this already!
So, did you enjoy it or not, Jess?
P.S. Thanks Saarah for the tags :)

There are articles about it online. We discussed it in C1-9. But you can also read about it by searching A .J. Finn's 'Trail Of Deception.'Be warned: it's awful.

Thanks :) I think I'll see it when I read the book. Be more involved that way.

I did enjoy it in the end but Aqsa after reading about the author is kind of dimmed it for me a little.

Aww. Maybe I'll avoid that until after I end this. I am so damn curious now!

My review 4.5 starsThe story starts out slow though not boring. Bits by bits we learn about Dr. Anna Fox, a child psychologist (maybe that's why I identified with her lol), her life, her past, her troubles, her pain and the mystery she gets herself in to. The further I got in the book, the faster I read, wanting to know what would happen, how all the dots would connect. I had some hypotheses, of course. Some were evidently disproved, others kept teasing my mind. What was real, what was all in Anna's mind? I was never completely sure, kept second-guessing everything and everyone. I could feel Anna's helplessness when nobody would believe her, all thinking she was just crazy. (view spoiler) Except for this last point, I enjoyed it very much! Still in doubt whether to round it up to 5 stars or down to 4. Will give it the benefit of the doubt and go for 5!
(as to all the articles: you think the book was part autobiographical?)

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Susy :)
I can't wait to start this because some other friends and this thread has peaked my interest and I wanna know all about those articles!

3.5 stars I liked this book, although if someone read a lot of thrillers, this one can be really predictable. But I enjoyed reading it, the writing style was good, and Anna's personality, her fears and everything related to her condition were plausible.
And I think the author did a great job, he gathered some good films and books ideas, and combined those well. So in my opinion, this novel isn't unique, but a good compilation of the right details.
I really enjoyed The Woman in the Window, and I thought the author did a good job of getting into the head of a woman that age and in that condition. I am old enough to be familiar with a lot of the films, which probably helps, but I do know people who lose themselves in viewing or listening to old favourites all the time. She did put away a lot more wine that seems believable, but maybe I'm just a cheap drunk.
Here's my review anyway.

I agree :) It was predictable but watching it unravel was fairly enjoyable. The movie and book recommendations were so many!

I did not get any movie reference (maybe one) and I was so lost, lol. But lots of recommendations on the bright side.
