Fairytale Read-Along Group discussion

There will be an upcoming read-along this March. It will feature a backlist title of a fairytale retelling. There is currently a poll running on @afairytaleathon, if you would like to vote.

The book for our March read-along will be Uprooted by Naomi Novik! I am excited to get to this one and I hope that you are too! Specific dates and additional information to follow.

The official read-along will run for two weeks from the 10th-23rd. However, feel free to read throughout the month. I’m so excited to get to this title!

Awesome! I’m so excited to finally give this author a try. So many of her books sound interesting to me.

I've read spinning silver and loved it. uprooted has been on my shelf for ages and I just haven't got to it yet. this'll be a good reason to pick it up!

I'm in for May :) are we going to read only retellings? just asking to see what to suggest :) I missed all the sprints until now... mostly because I was sleeping ( it was 3AM my time :)))) ) But I am happy I get to catch up with you guys here :)

I'm hoping to finish tomorrow. Either way the library is taking it back tomorrow. Less than 24 hours. I've still got 5.5 chapters to go.

We can read anything fairytale, folklore or myth inspired. Either original or retelling. For the May pick we will be reading Spinning Silver but I am looking for suggestions for July. :)
That is a bit late for sprinting. Time zones can be tough. I’m glad you’re able to catch us on here though.

on another note, I am curious to see how many retellings we get to read together. I wa thinking these days that, to my shame, I don;t know that many. Except the ones that I read during the readathon, I don't know as many retellings as I would like :)

Hi! Yes, we are still on for May! I have a few that I’ve been meaning to get to. Maybe I can do a twitter poll for July’s book. May’s book will be Spinning Silver. Some others I would like to get to are Heartless, Forest of a Thousand Lanterns, Echo North, and Hunted.

sweet!!! I have read Heartless and Hunted, but I am in for a reread if it will be the case. I just realized I didn't write a review for them. I don't know the other two but I'm in anyway :)
