Thought I might find this ‘cutesy’ and irritating but the opening five chapters have me cringing, laughing out loud and warming up to Sal and her not-so-secret crush.

Up to ch8. So, even though this feels like it could all go wrong, there’s enough there to hint it won’t. These two really are super-cute and I hope they convince Hooker soon as these ‘dates’ are cringeworthy.

Up to ch10. It’s awful, but the poem is kind of making me gooey.

Up to ch15. Does make me laugh how everyone else seems to be setting things up for their own interest. Becks’ big brother’s response to the break-up is brilliant. Hope the pair of them sort things out soon.

Finished. Review on home page. I am not going to moan about this as it’s set up with the best of intentions. Cute, and entertaining. A nice dream...I’ll pop back in to see how you’re finding it.

I'm glad you liked it better than me! The book lost me when the mom was projecting her fears of ending up alone by setting the daughter up on dates. =/

I just, I dunno. Nerdy books have to walk a line between being cringey and poking fun at pop culture, and it didn't do it for me. Sometimes it just doesn't work for me.

I know what you mean about the mum. There were quite a few bits that irritated me, but think that’s because I’m considerably older than the intended audience.

Finished - Parts of it were cute, but overall it was a miss for me. :) It's probably me, not the book. Have fun!

Same. That's why its a miss for ME, but I think that a lot of people will enjoy it.

chapter 1-5 (view spoiler)[I hope Becks likes Sally back so she doesn't end up heartbroken. It seems like he does. The "nerd" references are a bit overkill. Like they're trying too hard (hide spoiler)]

6-10 (view spoiler)[ Becks definitely likes her too, but thinks she wants someone else. Ah drama. His brothers are funny (hide spoiler)]
