Sure, I've read the books. I've seen the movies. I know the song about the rainbow and the happy little blue birds. But I never expected Oz to look like this. To be a place where Good Witches can't be trusted, Wicked Witches may just be the good guys, and winged monkeys can be executed for acts of rebellion. There's still the yellow brick road, though—but even that's crumbling.

What happened? Dorothy.

They say she found a way to come back to Oz. They say she seized power and the power went to her head. And now no one is safe.

My name is Amy Gumm—and I'm the other girl from Kansas.

I have already read this one so I won't be joining but happy reading to all of you!

Very hesitant to read this one because of the negative reviews I see on my GR friends alone.

I've noticed that too. I'm guessing this one will be bad.

Yeah, the characters are awful. The prequel is worse. Dorothy is so irritating and a real b*tch in it. Dorothy Must Die is a little better but nothing noteworthy. Good luck with it!

chapter 2 (view spoiler)[ Well I was starting to feel sorry for her, but she is certanly throwing herself one heck of a pity party isn't she? She worked so hard to get home and now she seems to be moaning about it maybe a little too much. I'm not so sure that I'd miss a gaudy, busy, less than cosy palace if I was back home with my family. chapter 3 (view spoiler)[ I actually feel quite sorry for Dorothy, even though she maybe expects too much. She's obviously feeling down, and she wants more than to feed pigs for the rest of her life. The dress was a bit of a mistake, and the way the other girls treated her over it was awful. I felt sorry for her Auntie Em too though, it's hardly her fault that they can't afford expensive things.

I have to say that I think the author has done a good job of capturing the feel of 'the wizard of oz' though, I haven't doubted that this is Dorothy, which is good! (hide spoiler)]

I have to say that this feels long for a novella. It seems more like a full-length novel to me!

chapter 13 (view spoiler)[ whether she likes it or not, she may just have to accept the fact that her family want to go back to Kansas, even if she decides to stay in Oz. She really needs to see where they're coming from. She was in the same position not long ago.

This is ridiculously long for a novella. It really is a whole book if you ask me. How the heck long is Dorothy Must Die if this is only a novella? It feels like way more than 132 pages to me!

If Nox does not know the full plan I have a feeling there is more to it than what is on the surface.
