Hidden Academy discussion

Zara was seated under a tree with a notebook balanced on her knees and a pencil in her hand. She closed her eyes and rested her head against the hard oak of a tree. She let her eyes flutter closed.

Dex held a grin across his face. Leaning down he hooked his feet onto a tree branch and hung down. Now eye level with the female he opened his mouth. Instead of speaking a miniature pillar of fire erupted in front of him.

Zara felt her face heat up, immediately opening her eyes and screeching, standing up abruptly. "What the hell?!" She exclaimed.

Dex burst out into laughter. Holding his sides he unhooked his feet and fell to the ground with a thud. His laughter grew more. "Oh you should have seen your face."

"Whatever." She blushed, closing her notebook and scowling at him. Zara brushed off her dress and blew her hair out of her face.

"A shame I didn't get a camera ready." He held his fingers out in a directors vision sort of pose. Staring at her he caught notice of her blush."What's with the blush?"

"You made my face hot." She said, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms over her chest, glaring at him.

"So you go blushing when someone makes your face hot." Dex stood up and stared at her face. "You don't seem the sort to do that."

Zara made a snickering sound. "What sort of type? The type that feels embarrassed when a complete stranger laughs at them?" She retorted.

"Yeah that sounds about right." Dex laughed slightly.

She rolled her eyes and walked past him toward the exit of the quad.

"See ya later alligator." Dex laughed as he climbed dack up into the tree.

"I hardly resemble an alligator." She scoffed.

"Well you do act like a stick in the mud." He called down.

"Excuse me?" She stormed back over to him.

"You.Act.Like.A.Stick.In.The.Mud. Need me to repeat that once more for ya?" Dex grinned widely as he hopped down from the branch.

"How, exactly?" She asked, straightening her posture.

"You're boring." Raising his arms to the sky he stretched out a bit. "Plus I hear you shifter types are super boring."

"You don't even know me." She said. "And how do you know I'm a shifter?"

"I don't for all I know you could be a demon or an angel or a skin walker."

"Exactly." She laughed.

"You from what I know are strange to a very deep core."

"How so?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"You just laughed for not one given reason."

"So? Am I not allowed to laugh?"

"Well laughing without reason makes a person strange."

"Maybe I had a reason to laugh." She said.

"Like what?" He stared right at her. A wide grin spread across his face.

"You." She smirked.

"Laughing at me, unless I did something funny, what about me would make you laugh?"

"You're odd." She shrugged.

"Really?"

"Yes." She grinned.

"So I'm amusing to you."

"Very much so."

Crouching down Dex smiled widely before blowing fire towards her.

She shifted swiftly into a mouse before the fire touched her.

Standing quickly he raised both hands towards the sky and shot pellets of fire to rain down.

Zara hid under a tree.

"So you are strange and boring."

She then shifts into a cheetah.

"Still boring."

She shifts back to normal. "Whatever."

Dex laughed as he sat up against the tree.

She glared at him.

"You gonna do something or just glare at me."

"What's your name?"

"I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours."

"I'm Zara." She said.
