Hidden Academy discussion

Eliza sat on the riverbank, and took off her shoes. Her pale dress waved slightly in the wind as she dangled her feet in the clear water of the river, and she quietly hummed a melody to herself. She placed a hand on a bare spot on the bank, and a patch of grass slowly sprouted, green and healthy.

With a slight whooshing of the air, Xavier appeared. He was wearing a black t-shirt and jeans. His hair became tousled as he ran his hand through it. Hearing someone humming, he sauntered around a bend in the river. "Hello" he said, hoping to startle the girl in white.

Eliza looked up quickly, and smiled. "Hello," she replied softly. "How are you this fine day?" She swept her long, grey hair behind one ear and stood up, removing her feet from the river.

"I'm doing alright. How about you?" He asked her with a grin. "What were you doing?" He walked over closer to her, noticing a patch of grass that looked newer than the stuff around it.

Eliza looked down at the stream, and back up at the approaching young man. "Just relaxing," she told him. "And... a little bit of gardening here and there."

"Gardening with no tools?" Xavier asked, one eyebrow raised. "That seems to be a bit difficult." He walked over and squatted down to look at the grass.

Eliza smiled. "Nah, not especially." She sat back down, and dangled her feet in the water once more. "Water and sunlight are the only tools I need," she explained. And to elaborate, she held out a hand over the nearby soil. Slowly, very slowly, a dandelion began to sprout from the ground.

Both Xavier's eyebrows went up. "Very impressive" he told her. "Much more useful that what I can do. Can you grow apple trees and such or is it just grasses?" He asked her curiously.

Eliza beamed. "Thank you! It's plants that I'm best at. I can probably do an apple tree, but I haven't tried before. That's a really good idea, by the way. What is it that you can do?"
