Lorraine Surringer I read many books a year - and never seem to remember to post them on here - life is too busy at the moment. But two books have made a massive impression this year - 'State of Fear'Michael Crichton and 'The Quality of Silence' Rosamund Lupton for their efforts in raising awareness on issues close to my heart. The 'Global Warming' propaganda by Crichton and 'Fracking' by Lupton but also the lengths governments and corporations will go to silence or cover up terrible injustices to us and our planet.

Do you agree that there is so little time in our busy lives to enjoy simple pleasures like reading? And even more so to share the pleasures with others?

I am actually looking forward to retiring (if I am ever allowed to retire) so that I get more time for these essential pleasures!

Lute Mullenix I agree. I'm retired now so I have more free time but I admit that I am a slow reader. I usually get between 25 and 30 books a year completed. However my reading is restricted to an hour or so at bed time to relax before lights out.

One of my goals it to read all of Michael Crichton's novels. Thought I had then Dragon Teeth came out and I have not read it yet, but it is in my library.
