Interesting. Not an author I would have thought of as SF, but if it's set in 2058 with the various toys, then I guess it is. I have a bunch of those in audio, but they're really old. I ripped them out of old library cassette tapes into mp3's, so the quality probably sucks. I might try one or see if the library has them.

Per WP, the series began in 1995 with Naked in Death, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naked_i...
-- and continues to 2019 with #59, "Connections in Death" (February 5, 2019) But it's clearly been a success!
I'm not going to sort out the counting problem: omnibuses, anthols etc etc.
The series is (basically) a near-future cop-shop romance series, but does have some Tech innovations ( at least then): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Deat... So I guess it's at least marginally SF. Make of that what you will, guys. And girls, who are clearly her target audience! 💰 👯♂️
Anyway, I've read just 1, "Immortal in Death( #3) and DNFd it @2*,

Though it had moments, & I never quite knew what to make of it. The book did provide a pullquote I used as a Usenet SIG for years:
"She could and had faced an armed laser in the hands of a mad mutant mercenary with less fear than she faced such unswerving emotion." ❤️😻
