Superman's Debut comic was originally sold for 10 cents an edition; now it was sold for $3.2 million at an auction.

On a different note, I do have this as a poster that I picked up the night of the new Superman movie premiere. Had no idea it was a cover of the first edition.

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) I couldn't imagine being so rich as to be able to spend that much money on a comic book.

Travis (travishiltz) | 487 comments I'm amazed by the number of Action #1's still intact out there.
Don't know if I'd ever want to own one though. I'd be afraid to touch it.

Jeff | 425 comments I have touched one once. at a comic con about three years ago in Boston. If it hadn't been for the fact that I knew the owner, it probably wouldn't have happened. But he let me thumb thru it since he knew how I well I took care of my stuff. I do have an exact replica of it form cover to cover. It has a very small price tag on the back cover of 6.99 but everything is exactly reproduced from the inside cover ads to well everything.
Though I do like the covers to both Detective comics number 27 better, which is the first appearance of the Batman. And even more so Batman no. 1 cover as well. Both fantastic looking pieces of comic art.

Oh me too, I can't take care enough of anything to own something valuable like that. I'd worry about it all the time lol
