Just FYI, bumping is only allowed once a month due to the size of the group. When in the 2000s do you think you bought it, closer to the beginning or end of the decade?
Was it in the adult section or the YA section?
How old was the main character, in her teens?
British author?
Ah sorry, I didn’t know. I’ll keep that in mind!It was a British author I think. It was a young adult book, with a female lead. And it will have been early 2000s I think.
The cover was blue with an arrow across it with hair wrapped around it and feathers attached to it I think.
I think the main character, a female, loves to hunt with a bow.
The boy wizards mother was killed, or died somehow, before the events of the book. And he lives in the forest I think.
The vampires they ally with try to trick them while singing a contract, so that the humans would have to give up some humans each month to them to feed on. But they’re caught out.
Awesome! Glad you found it.The Cry of the Icemark for future reference.
Looks like this was probably the cover you saw.

The cover has an arrow with hair wrapped around it. Young adult.
Strong female lead. Her father is a king or ruler of some kind. Friend is a boy wizard.
They make a pact with the neighbouring vampire people to fight off some shared enemy force.
I think the title is just one word, maybe the girls name or something to do with Ice?
I’m sure I read somewhere it was being turned into a movie, and I’m sure the author is a man maybe named David? He works in a bookstore I read from the author bio.
Please help, been trying to figure this out for so long now on and off. I remember it was a great book and I’m ready ya to read it again.
