Omg YES!!! Finally someone who loves TWoT series as much as I do (it got me into reading, actually!)
LotR, HP, Nevernight and Shades of Magic are in my top, 5 also!

That said:

2) Huxtable Quintet by Mary Balogh
3) ASOIAF by GRRM

2. Jurassic Park Series by Michael Crichton
3. The Dark Is Rising Series by Susan Cooper
4. The Embalmer Series by Mitsukazu Mihara
5. Pet Shop of Horrors Series by Matsuri Akino
Ooooh.... it's so hard to pick! Okay, no particular order:
• Captive Prince series - C. S. Pacat
• The Raven Cycle - Maggie Stiefvater
• Shades of Magic series - V. E. Schwab
• Throne of Glass series - Sarah J. Maas (though I still haven't finished KoA...)
• The Illuminae Files - Jay Kristoff & Amie Kaufman

A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R Martin
Lord of the rings by J. R.R Tolkein
Eragon by Christopher Paolini
Inkworld Trilogy by Cornelia Funke

1. Discworld by Terry Pratchett - I lived and loved with these books for 30 years
2. Burton & Swinburne by Mark Hodder
3. Titus Crow by Brian Lumley
4. Fighting Fantasy adventure gamebooks started by Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson. I ate these up as a young adolescent.
5. The Prydain Chronicles by Lloyd Alexander.

My dad feels your bitterness. Anytime someone so much as mentions ASOIAF to him he just sighs and gets frustrated. (I've seen the show but haven't read the books yet. Not sure if I want to until I'm certain GRRM is actually going to finish them.)
@Jelena Milenković that's awesome! I finally finished the series July of last year and have already thought about rereading it a few times since lol

I still have to finish the last 3 books, so I definitely have a complete reread in plan!

I don't think they will ever be finished. Maybe by a ghostwriter some years in the future?

-Gentleman Bastards by Scott Lynch
-Shade of Magic by VE Schwab
-The Shadow Game by Amanda Foody
-All for the Game by Nora Sakavic
-Warcross by Marie Lu
(wow. i had too look up most of these book's series titles. why did they all have to choose to be unique instead of go with the 2012 trend and name the series after the first book? lol)
Honorable Mentions (because only the first book is out, also the series titles may be officially called something different)
-The Gilded Wolves
-Ignite the Stars
-We Hunt the Flame
-Wicked Saints
-These Rebel Waves

I own the Lies of Locke Lamora (I was told the character is like an adult Kaz Brekker from Six of Crows which immediately made me interested) but I haven't really started it yet.
Also I absolutely LOVE All For the Game!! Kevin Day has my heart but really I adored all the little monsters.

i haven't heard that kaz and locke comparison before. besides the heist planning, and being great at conning people, i don't see a ton of similarities between the two. kaz always seemed cold to me, while locke is just having the time of his life. but it also has been awhile since i have reread THE LIES OF LOCKE LAMORA.
and YESSSSSSSSS. another aftg fan. i want to protect all of the foxes at all cost (except seth).

(Seth had it coming.)
I would love for Nora Sakavic to write another series. Even if it's not about the beloved Foxes I just want more of her writing. (I will say I think "Believer" from Imagine Dragons is the perfect song for the foxes especially when they played Exy.)

1. Veronica Speedwell (A Curious Beginning, etc.) by Deanna Raybourne
2. Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch
3. Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus, Trials of Apollo by Rick Riordan (maybe cheating but they're all an extension of one series..)
4. The Dark is Rising by Susan Cooper
5. Fangirl, Carry On, Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell (cheating maybe, but whenever I re-read Fangirl I have to re-read Carry On, and I'm ridiculously excited for Wayward Son..)
Honorable mention:
1. Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck

2. Nevernight
3. A Darker Shade of Magic
4. The Inheritance Cycle
5. The Halo books
it's really hard for a book to be my "favorite" so this was difficult. My top two are 100 my favorite no doubt.
@Jelena Milenković I was initially worried about the last three but loved them as much as the rest of the series, Brandon Sanderson really did a fantastic job finishing the series!

-Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling
I don't read a lot of series, so this is kind of it!

1. The Parable Series - Octavia Butler
2. A Song of Ice and Fire - George R. R. Martin
3. His Dark Materials - Philip Pullman
4. Harry Potter Series- J. K. Rowling
5. Shades of Magic - V. E. Schwab

2. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
3. The Illuminae Files by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman

Omg Red Rising is an amazing book so far, I'm so excited to get to the second one, I am dying to know how it turns out!
I bought A Darker Shade of Magic the other day because it looked fantastic, I'm glad to see it is well liked, that's promising!

2. Shatter Me Series by Tahereh Mafi
3. Harry Potter Series by J. K. Rowling (because it's a classic)
4. An Ember in the Ashes Series by Sabaa Tahir
5. The Time Warp Trio books (I know these are for kids but they're hilarious so I'm adding them)
6. Tales of Magic by Edward Eager (also technically for kids but I love these)

1) Gretchel Lowell. a series by Chelsea Cain. If you love gore, violence and all things bad you'll love this series. It's horrific
2) Harry Potter.
3) The girl with the dragon tattoo. Now the author died after writing the first 3 and someone else has written 3 more. I read the fourth book and it's the worst book ever. So I would advise to stop after 3.
4) Flowers in the attic books by VC Andrew's. Oldies but absolutely brilliant.
5) Percy Jackson series. I know this are YA but they are pretty good tbh

I thought this might be a fun little way to get to know each other a little more (and an opportunity to check out new books!). I'm curious about what your favorite book series is! Or, if it's too hard to narrow down to just one (I'll never be able to pick just one myself) then your Top Five favorite series. The series that you can read again and again and never tire of; the ones you recommend to everyone you know because the characters and world and story is just too good to keep to yourself.
No standalones on this one please! I might end up eventually making a separate thread for favorite standalone novels but this one is any series with two or more books in it.
(in no particular order for me)
1. Shades of Magic trilogy by V. E. Schwab
2. Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling
3. Captive Prince trilogy by C. S. Pacat
(wow I seem to have a love for authors with their first and middle initial??)
4. Women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstong
5. Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo
