I'm about 16% in and am really enjoying it. It's not 'un-put-downable', but I am finding that while I am reading my mind is not wandering as it sometimes does and I am feeling involved in the story. This is my first book by this author, but definitely not the last!
I agree. I definitely seem to get lost in it while I’m reading. I like how descriptive it is and how different it is to what I was expecting.
Just finished chapter 5 which was definitely action packed and eventful. Up to this point I found the book ok but was wondering how I was going to make it through 439 pages! Chapter 5 has renewed my interest and I'm eager to continue.
Yes, the action has certainly picked up. I finished through chapter 6. I thought that there would be a lot more trapped in the tower stuff but this is more interesting.
ok, I am on chapter 16 and it's getting difficult. I love it, I love the story and the action and I am really anxious to see what will happen next. But there are so many descriptions! I like how vivid the story is precisely due to them, but...and I am only just starting chapter 16. Has anyone read past this one?
I’m sadly behind I’m up to chapter 8 :( but I’m really enjoying it. I thought the first chapter was super slow but after that first chapter this has really picked up. The only thing I don’t 100% agree with is the pedestal Agnieszka puts Kasia. I’m all about friendships and I appreciate how supportive Kasia was when Agnieszka went down to Dvernik but wow Agnieszka seems to be blinded when it comes to Kasia. But otherwise I love the banter with the Dragon. He’s condescending as hell but I think it hilarious.
I just finished Chapter 12. Getting somewhat concerned that I'm not going to finish the ebook before my library takes it back.
@Yolande I agree, Agnieszka puts Kasia on a pedestal. @Jody and @Emma I am reading the book on Scribd. it's the first time I'm trying the app. I am quite happy for now.
anyone here using this app? I need to decide if I should keep my subscription or not... (sorry for being off topic)
I have Scribd and like it for classics. I have used it for more modern books as well but find that you are somewhat limited there.
