An Anonymous Girl discussion

Did not like this book at all. I got it in audio because of the very high reivews. I had to force myself to not stop reading. I found the double dialogue annoying. In the beginning I couldnt tell if the second voice actually was the Dr or whether Jessica was assuming what the Dr was thinking.

Eventually that became clear only to have the Drs's narrative describing things she could not know. it really didnt pick up at all until about 60% of the way through the story.

Many other good books out there. I cant imagine why this received so many high reviews???

I listened to this book as well and I loved it.
If it's your first time listening to a book it will make you hate it. I feel like if you have listened to other books you would be used to listening to one voice reading more than one character.

I read the this book, but I hated it. The ending was a huge let down for me, and I felt like I wasted my time reading it.

Completely agree!

I liked the book, and as I usually enjoy forming voices and visuals for the characters in my mind pretty early on in the story, I'm not sure I'd enjoy listening to it. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie if/when it comes to fruition.

Agree!

There is nothing in this book that makes you continue reading. At first I did wanted to know what's happening, but after part one I had to force myself to continue.

Even the part that is supposed to be a suspense can be found out so easily.
