The alternates:Each number corresponds with the spot on the board.
For colors: The cover has to be at least 50%
For locations: As long as the book takes part at all in the given location .
For Shelves: Any book on the given shelf
For Publication Years: I'll be using how GR has it's publication date listed.
For Authors Names: The first, middle, or last name of the author is ok.
For Cover Items: Must have the given item on the cover
For Titles: Only the first word of the title. A, An, And, and The do not count.
So if the letter is B: The Best Day would be ok. Dear Betty would not be ok.

Hi team!! I'm so excited to play this again this round. I'm happy to help however I can and if that means being captain, I can do that, but if someone else wants to be captain, that works too. I'm in the pacific time zone, so I can roll at 10:01 pm PST on roll nights.I'll start thinking of some team name ideas!
(view spoiler)
I just edited the dice info in post 2, what's there now is correct (copy and paste gets me into trouble!)
I'd rather not be captain the first time I try this thing. Booksters
Oneders (movie: That Thing You Do, I thought it was funny)
Cheetahs (we read fast, not because we cheat, not as funny if you have to explain it)
Bookies (as opposed to Trekies)
The Classics
Incredibooks
Librarians
Hi team! :D Looking forward to getting this round started!! I'm over in Europe and usually not up yet at the earliest possible time to roll, so I think it'd be best for someone else to be captain.
I'm gonna PM Diana and see where she's at. I've been preparing a spreadsheet with books for all numbers and alternatives since I'm playing both versions of this game. I want to make sure I can just jump in and pick a book. I'm super excited to play!!
I was looking at the list. Some of the highlighted ones confused me. Maybe someone can explain.Cover love
Book boyfriends
Got it

Oh hey, are the highlights one the shelves?
Leslie, those ones are shelves. So you click the link and find a book on that shelf that you want to read.
Paris wrote: "Leslie, those ones are shelves. So you click the link and find a book on that shelf that you want to read."yep, I figured it out just before you replied, thanks
That usually happens to me too. Lol Please ask any and all questions you have. An important reminder, page minimum is 150.
I always seem to forget that.
Hi Everyone, I'm here and ready to play the game. For a team name, I like "Incredibooks" but "Bookies" is good too. Who's team captain? I think Paris would make a great team captain. Does anyone else agree?
Just a FYI - I mostly read the alternates, but there are a few series that I do read. :D
I've already have books chosen for the first six alternates. I'm set! So let the games begin . . . .!
Hi Diana! I've got a whole spreadsheet going for every spot. I think I like making spreadsheets more than I end up using them, but oh well.Sounds like I'm gonna be the captain. And it sounds like Bookies has the most votes, but I'll throw it to y'all one last time. Please post your favorite name and whichever name has the most votes will be our name. I'm excited to finally roll on Saturday night!

MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Woot.Tonight I rolled a 6, so we are now on spot 6. You can read book number 6 in a series or the alternate which is a book with a tattoo on the cover.
It was alright. Not the greatest, but it was the final book in a small series. It was an easy read more than anything.
Leslie wrote: "Should start Relentless tomorrow. I haven't out how to show the cover of the book."When you go through the add book/author there are two radio buttons, one says link and the other says cover. You want to click on the cover button.

Review:
If you are looking for a fast, easy read with paranormal romance in it, this is great. Not a whole lot of depth or emotional turmoil like in some romances, which is great for some readers like me. There is some sex. I would say somewhere in the middle between graphic and clean, one page per experience as opposed to several pages full of vulgar words. Not too much action/violence, so it would be classified as suspense. This could be a stand alone novel, but the author does refer to couples from previous novel very often. It would be easier I think to have read the other stories first. Like I said in the first sentence, fast, easy, fun read.

Okay, got it! Relentless was too short so I switched books.

I’m glad I finally got to read the conclusion to Lucas and Sienna’s story. Quite a bit was revealed that I wasn’t expecting and I really enjoyed that. Lucas’ secret that Sam was holding over him was something I never saw coming. It was not even a thought in my head and I love that I didn’t guess it. Overall, I enjoyed the series, the characters and the world. This book at times felt like filler, but at other times, I was on the edge of my seat.
I’m really glad that I reconnected with the characters. I still need to read Kylie and Wyatt’s book, but I’m really looking forward to Sinjin’s book. We really got to see a new side of him in this book and I think that might have been my favorite part.

Aaaaand reviewed!
Do I need to post it somewhere else?"
Leslie, I just posted mine. It should look semi-similar, but instead of actually having the review in the post, you can link to your review posted on the book page if you want. Let me know if you have any questions.

Burn the Night by Jocelynn Drake (Dark Days #6)
Finished: 02 September 2014
Rating: ****
Review:
As the epic climax of the Dark Days series approaches, Mira finds herself beset by enemies on every side: Her former mentor Jabari is out for her blood; Mira's father, the god of chaos, wants to use her to regain his position of power; the Daylight Coalition is targeting the supernatural inhabitants of Savannah; and the final battle in the war between the two factions of naturi is drawing closer, threatening to bring about the Great Awakening which would expose the existence of the supernatural to the human world. To pursue her vision of peaceful coexistence with humans and supernaturals alike, Cynnia hopes an unprecedented alliance between her naturi followers, Mira's nightwalkers and the lycans of the Savannah pack will give her an edge over Aurora's army - but will it be enough to grant her victory? Telling the story half from Mira's and half from Nyx's POV allows the reader to gain a better insight into the naturi characters as well as those of Mira's friends and allies. All loose ends are nicely wrapped up and the final battles definitely didn't disappoint. All in all, this was an intensely satisfying end to a great series.

I love reading about Mercy Thompson's adventures. Even though, I don't think she would call them adventures, more like, Survival.
Mercy got Werewolf politics and Fae danger to deal with in this book. I'm usually on Team Samuel but I could see myself switching to Team Adam after reading this book. ;)
Diana, for some reason I have a hard time getting into the Mercy books, but I do love me some Adam. I'll be rolling in about an hour and 20 minutes or so.
Tonight I rolled a 6, so we are now on spot 12. Options
~ book 1 in a series
~ book 2 in a series
~ book 12 in a series
~ a stand alone book
~ a book with a title that starts with C (remember A, An, And, The do not count).

Review: Very typical Jayne Ann Krentz book. Intelligent capable, slightly flawed man who teams up with an intelligent mostly capable, quirky woman. They solve some kind of mystery/murder. JAK has her books where the characters telekinesis/psychic type powers, and this is one of them. I love almost all of her books.

Resistance by Jenna Black (Replica #2)
Finished: 04 September 2014
Rating: *****
Review:
Gaining the upper hand on Chairman Hayes at the end of book one turns out to be a short-lived victory for Nadia and Nate - they may have achieved the destruction of the Replica process and have the incriminating recordings that guarantee their survival as well as that of their loved ones, but the future looks anything but rosy. With Nadia locked away in a retreat cut off from the outside world and Nate being forced into a new marriage arrangement that will completely ruin Nadia in society and leave everyone involved miserable, the Chairman seems to have them both firmly back under his thumb. Dante and Bishop, their contacts in the Resistance movement, might be able to help in return for information, but danger surrounds them all and only increases with every step they take...
Last year, Replica took me by surprise and ended up one of my favourite books of 2013. Going into the sequel, I therefore had high hopes and expectations - tempered with a little dread, because what if it's nowhere near as good as expected? Turns out I needn't have worried: Resistance more than lives up to the promise of the first book, upping the ante on action, suspense and romance alike and raising the stakes before leaving you feverishly looking up the release date of the trilogy's conclusion. (It's November. Why is November so far away?!)
