Willard Thompson (willardthompson) | 5 comments When I opened today's Wall Street Journal, in the life and arts section, I found myself looking at the Berthe Morisot's painting titled, "View of Paris From the Trocadero", from our very own Santa Barbara Museum of Art!
This is the painting that inspired me to write, "The Girl From the Lighthouse" The painting pictures Paris in 1871 and makes a strong social statement about women during that time.
I wanted to share my excitement with my fellow historical fiction fans, since today, March 20, the book is officially released, and available in bookstores nationwide, also Amazon, Kindle, and other electronic outlets. For me it felt like a "good omen" and a reason to celebrate spring and my book release! Please check it out.
Cheers,
Willard
