4. National Kite Month ~ April was chosen as National Kite Month because it is the month that perfectly symbolizes hope, potential, and joy. As the first (full) month in Spring, it is the month where we see the last of the snow giving way to green lawns, a month that we are eager to get outside and be active. That night, someone coined the term "New Beer's Eve", and a new annual holiday was born!
