Well my current book is about an academy where "The Extraordinaly Gifted" practice their powers and they are not allowed to go back to their old life. They stay at this academy, and practice their gifts in peace, the academy treats them with the care they need and live here. Nobody really knows what happens when they graduate but they hope to go home with their families.

{Sorry if this introduction wasn't very inresting. The book is better :P}

It was love

The nails didn't hold Jesus to the cross.

Love held Jesus to the cross.

Jesus could have jumped down anytime, he could have said no to the plan of resurrection. He could have developed another plan. However, because he loved and still loves us, he went through with it so that anyone who believes from the heart will be saved. The love from our Lord is very different from the love of the world. The secular world says to put your trust and faith in material things, like your job, the latest celebrities, or drugs. There's nothing wrong with enjoying life or your favorite things, but when these things become the priority over God is when it becomes wrong. In the end, no material interest can open the door for eternal life.

The love of God surpasses human understanding. A lot of people think that you have to do a long list of chores to earn God's love. In actuality, God's love and grace is available to all, and no one needs to do anything to earn it, all God asks is that they accept it. The gift of God's love is greater than any material gift, because no one deserves it, (For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God Romans 3:23). Yet God wanted an even better plan for our lives than anything we could ever hope to get on this earth, so he issued this plan.

God's love is also different because it doesn't discriminate or hate the individual
person. Some people say: Do this and I might love you, or lose weight, and I might love you, or wear more make up and I might love you. God says to just come as you are so that he can direct your paths.

God wants the very best life for each believer. He invites you to accept him into your heart today.

He carried this plan out so that everyone, including you and me, will have eternal life.

Labeling, Grace and Forgiveness

Society labels people. We tend to label ourselves sometimes. Some say "I'm just not good enough or worthy enough . I'm not pretty or handsome, I have no popularity or money, etc. However, this isn't how God wants us to think. We are worthy in God's eyes, not from an earthly sense but from a spiritual sense. When others view us as ugly, not popular enough, or not cool enough, God is always reminding us that we are precious in his sight. God doesn't categorize people into cliques. He doesn't love certain people more than others. God's love is equal to all people, and outer appearances aren't as important as the heart.

The next time you start to doubt your self worth, remind yourself that Jesus loved you enough to die for you and be raised so that you can have eternal life. Also, tell yourself this when you're doubting the plan of forgiveness. Some people think that it's impossible for them to receive forgiveness. They think they've gone too far and that there's no way that God could possibly have mercy on them now. However, God is gracious and he invites all who are thirsty to come to him.

Society and other people may look down on us. God says that "We are more."

We are more than our mistakes, we are more than our worries, we are more than our failures, we are more than our doubts. We are more than what the world says we are. We are loved by our God.

Tenth Avenue North is my favorite Christian band, I love their songs and words because they're from God and inspiring. I wanted to share the lyrics to "You are More" because I think this song fits in with my devotion today.

Here's the summary for my fantasy trilogy, Something More

Born and raised a farmer, Savird is suddenly pulled into palace life when he is chosen by the king and queen as their heir. He struggles to cope with his new life, finding it tedious and confining after his free upbringing. Then a mysterious man appears at the palace, and makes a stunning claim. Suddenly, Savird's world is hurled into war, and his once ordinary life is turned upside down.

And one YA / fantasy / sci-fi novel that may be periodically posted (description: "Jake is a sixteen-year old boy from Portland, Oregon, and he has a problem.
At times, he'll wake suddenly in the middle of the night - alert, tense, and all senses straining... but for no apparent reason.
Then there's the sleepwalking. Or at least, it feels like sleepwalking, except that he's conscious of what he's doing, and he can do nothing to stop it.
But then again, a war isn't waged over sleepwalkers.
Within a matter of days, Jake goes from being a somewhat average schoolboy, to a prize being sought by men with guns").
