When You're Not Reading a Cozy
After finishing a rather heavy book, We Were the Lucky Ones, I moved on to listening to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I highly recommend reading We Were the Lucky Ones by Georgia Hunter

I just got caught up in her series! Love the suspense she adds!
I am behind on a couple of book club picks. Currently reading The Library Book for my library book club and What the Eyes Don't See: A Story of Crisis, Resistance, and Hope in an American City for an instagram book club.

I love this series. I need to catch up.
I'm reading Saturday the Rabbi Went Hungry. This series is so close to a cozy and yet it's not. I'm returning to it finally after many years. I never did read it in any order so I'm just reading the ones I have not read. It's kind of a comfort read for me.

I agree Paula - I always look forward to the new one :)
Reading The Bold World: A Memoir of Family and Transformation. Totally engaged with it! Having a daughter who is non-binary really makes me empathize with the story line.

This book looks so cute, that I put it on hold at my library. Thanks for alerting me to its existence!
I just finished A Gathering of Secrets by Linda Castillo for my local library's mystery book club. I was not familiar with this series before, and I really enjoyed this one, set in Amish country in Ohio.

Finished reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Good, but it’s going to take a while to get some of the unsettling images from this book out of my head.

Finished The Crucible by Arthur Miller this evening, which was an April book for a classics group here at GR. An okay read. Definitely a dark period in our history (Salem witch trials).
Alice wrote: "I am enjoying Away in a Manager by Rhys Bowen. Set in 1905 New York City"I liked that one!
Yesterday before work, I had a bit of time to browse a local used bookshop (not HPB!), and lucked onto a book that has been on my TBB list for several years now, 84, Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff. Having finished the book I was reading, I was able to start it right away, and finished it on the bus home tonight. What a delightful read! It is in letter form, and covers twenty years correspondence between writer Helene Hanff and a bookseller in England. Highly recommend it!

I know, I got so hooked after reading How to Murder a Millionaire, and bought all the books as they came out. At least through #7. Don't know what sidetracked me...
Right now I'm past the halfway point of Untouchable (Cutler, Sutter & Salinas, #3) by Jayne Ann KrentzUntouchable.
