Fans of Alice Hoffman discussion

Has anyone read The Rules of Magic yet? I have started it but it’s not gripping me very much so far. Would be curious to hear opinions. No spoilers please!

I read it, I loved the book. I was always a fan of the film practical magic and didn’t realise it was a book until after I read rules of magic.

I loved it as well. At first it's a little strange to read about the characters in such a different way than they are portrayed in Practical Magic, but then it's really lovely. I find it hard to decide which just better: Practical Magic or Rules of Magic.
