Rithmatics or the soul stamps from The Emperor’s soul. Those both blew my mind. The only others I’ve seen have been in The Stormlight Archive and The Reckoners (but that’s super powers, not magic, I guess...?).
Still waiting for the Rithmatist magic to come out in VR, but I’d be down for pretty much any Sanderson magic in virtual reality.
As a physics/science nerd I will always love Allomancy (Mistborn) the best. The sheer detail that Brandon gives to the whole system is just fantastic. It's so structured and logical. Plus combine that with guns in the second era and it is just downright epic.
For me personally in regards to story & characters Stormlight > MistbornBut i have got to admit Mistborn Allomancy and Feruchemy are the best magic system and probably the easiest to accommodate in cosmere
I think Stormlight is the most fascinating magic system I've ever read about. It's more interesting than the metals-based system in Mistborn which he makes to work brilliantly but it's sort of dissatisfying. Not to mention, how does one "burn" a specific metal in one's stomach? I know the people are genetically modified by the great shards but it's hard to swallow (sorry LOL). The White Sand magic wasn't explained and again he made it work brilliantly as he always does, but I didn't think it made much sense.
I think to burn a metal inside one’s stomach is more metaphorical than literal. I do agree about the white sand magic though. As far as Stormlight goes, I think it’s so detailed and precise that most people would like some aspect of it.
Rithmatics just sounds so fun... I think it would make such a great online multiplayer iPad + Apple Pencil app with the right developer, really wanna see that some day

I never even considered that! I would love that so much, my only hesitation from a logistics standpoint would be the much smaller audience reach, with an iOS app you could really have it everywhere soon... but I'd totally buy a VR headset just for a well-made Rithmatist duel game haha

Awakening all the way! I don’t think we’ve seen even a fraction of what Brandon can do with that system
I agree with you on that, just because there is so much flexibility with what you can do with it. Nightblood will definitely be a top read for me when it comes out.
I’m a big fan of AonDor. It’s a little technically involved, but it might be the most versatile pick.
feruchemy has always been interesting but I've got to say Hoids unique magic is the most interesting to me.
Hoid's magic (that we've seen on-screen) has mostly been Yolish lightweaving, I believe. He's also Awakened and done some other stuff with Breath. I think most of that has been in the Stormlight books. He's also Mistborn, so that's cool too. He has some other abilities, such as being a Lightweaver (surgebinding), and there's a lot we don't know about him, so who knows what else he can do! My favorite magic system would have to be Allomancy, though. But the three metallic arts in general are amazing. Especially in Rashek's case, with Allomancy and Furechemy combined. I also love surgebinding just for the sheer awesomeness of it all.

not only was it awesome Rashek could do both, he could compound it and pretty much last forever if he weren't killed. he's like miles hundred lives on steroids.
