Julian (sceadugenga) | 27 comments I've just finished the last in the Sean Duffy series.
Set in the 1980s in Northern Ireland these are seriously good crime novels.
Duffy is a Catholic Detective Inspector in the largely Protestant Royal Ulster Constabulary, with his Protestant Sargent and Constable he struggles to solve crimes while fully aware that anything involving the IRA and Protestant paramilitaries will never be resolved.

A 5 out of 5 series.

I noticed you were reading these. I have read a few Scottish mystery series but not Irish. I am assuming you like the character(s).

Yes, like all good novels the main characters are very real people.
