____ Okay, I back___

I was admiring a nice, white, knitted sweater through the store window of Kittens In Mittens. When I checked the tag, however, I whistled and walked away quickly. "No, thank you." I thought.

As I walked down the sidewalk, I was getting many odd glances. Nothing new. I was different from everybody else. Large sunglasses hid my eyes, and fingerless gray gloves on my wrists. As far as I could see, I was the only one wearing long, elbow-length gloves and tall boots during the summer.

I flinched slightly at the sight of smoke curling out of the window of the truck. Terrible for the environment.

"Lady! You're standing in the middle of the road! Move!" he honked his horn, glaring at me. I glared right back. Although I suppose he couldn't really see my eyes out from under my sunglasses.

I could see him grounding his teeth from here. Don't ask how. I have exceptional eyesight. I didn't move for a moment, but then whipped my hair behind my shoulder and stalked off. The nerve of that man...

Suddenly, I ran into something - or rather, someone - with a thunk. I toppled to the ground, along with all of my shopping bags -
