Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins

This is the series that Suzanne Collins wrote prior to The Hunger Games. I think it is written for a younger age group and it had a lot less sadness and death.

It was perfect for what I needed right now. It was fun, easy to read. It had a bunch of great messages that were sprinkled throughout. One I copied to make sure that I remembered, "Even if times got bad, he would never again deny himself the possibility that the future might be happy even if the present was painful."

There are 5 books in this series and they all seem to be about $3.99 on Amazon right now. These might be my Kindle reads for now.

If you like Suzanne Collins writing but want something that is easy, fun, and light, then I recommend.

I read this just a few months ago. It was fun!

My son loved these books when he was around 10 years old.
