I read this for ATY19 #30 (a book with an elderly character). The novel is a brilliant Gothic tale, which is impressive in our contemporary times. It has classic features of the Gothic, but does so without giving away its mysteries. Compelling and hard to put down, and haunting both in its mysteries and its relationship with nature. Not to be missed.
