I didn't think I was actually signed up. I want to play but I posted concern about my wedding and honeymoon happening near what might possibly be the end of this. I will still be reading at that time and I plan to bring my Kindle Fire on our trip. So I could conceivably still post a review. I'll just make sure I'm all up to date and have shorter books downloaded for the potential remaining shelves.
It's the first 2 weeks of October. If you think it will be a problem, I'll ask them to find a replacement for me.
Disneyworld. So excited. My betrothed is a reader so I know we'll spend time reading on the plane rides, in the rooms before sleeping etc..., I'm more worried about having the time to sit and post a review if we happen to have a winning shelf called while I'm away.
How fun!!! I'm not a big YA fan either - I only read it for challenges! But there have been a couple I've read that I've actually enjoyed.
I'll probably read a Percy Jackson book. Both my fiance and my daughter have wanted me to read those. I think I'm on book 3 or 4.Or maybe the Parasol Protectorate spin-off.
The 2018/19 one concerns me a little but mostly because I'm cheap and get 90% of my books from the library. But I'm sure they'll have at least 1 without a long wait. (then again I might have one already from Kindle First reads)

You can start now looking for books to fit those categories now. You'd be surprised where you find books. I get a lot from the library as well

Congrats Mary! I don't mind YA but I'm not so brave about horror. Often the hard covers are much quicker to get than the Kindle books at my library if you are able to visit.
I am mainly an ebook girl and I have 2 out of state library cards. So I should be good. Doing a challenge that has 19 books from 2019 on it and only got one in so far.
I am calling “not it” as far as captain goes. I have done it a few times in another group including the Bingo round just finishing up. I’d just assume not do it again right away.
I'm also more of an ebook girl but my own impatience is bringing me back around to the hard covers. :)I'd also prefer not to be captain as I'm not entirely sure I quite get the rules yet but also will be traveling a bit in July with possibly inconvenient time differences.
Hi Alejandro! So does anyone have any thoughts for a team name?
And BTW, where is everyone from? I live in Southern California.
Hi Alejandro!I'm in the Washington, DC area but love California.
All I can think of for a team 10 name is super cheesy: "10 more minutes" which is my usual response whenever my reading is disturbed yet never accurate.
Hey @Jen - where in the DC area do you live? I used to live in Herndon VA.I like 10 More Minutes
Some bingo related names:
10 Daubs to Bingo
Daub After Daub
B10 For the Win!
Hey Sandy, I live in Chevy Chase, MD. I couldn't afford actual DC anymore. I like B10 for the Win or 10 Daubs to Bingo, not sure why I'm stuck on the 10.
Can't believe that we still have to wait until Tuesday to start!
I'm in Northern California, where I'm waiting for summer to start. I think I'd better not be captain at this point for a couple reasons. One, I'm my elderly mother's caregiver and one never knows what will come up, and two, I'm a newbie to book bingos.
I love the name "10 more minutes" ... that was me all my reading life, and still am when I get down to it. lol
Happy Friday! Does anyone have fun plans for the weekend? I don't have anything going on other than reading and cleaning. I can be captain if Alejandro or Tiffany don't want the job.
Thanks for offering to step up Sandy! I hope Tiffany finds us soon!Low key weekend for me as well with reading, cleaning and errands. The first part of my year was a bit too busy so I really savor a quiet weekend at home.
I started to plan out my potential bingo choices last night. Somehow I managed to fill most all the spots with unread books I own on my nightstand or kindle. Anyone else a planner or waiting to see what gets picked?
I am a partial planner. I matched my upcoming books to potential squares and I found books for the ones I was most worried about.
I don't plan too much - I'm usually doing multiple challenges and so I try to find books that will work for all of them if possible.@Mary - Disneyland isn't too far from where I live, and there has been so much stuff on the news about the new Star Wars land at that park. I was hoping to win tickets, but no joy so far!
Hi Tiffany! Yay - we're all here!!!If you want to be captain, it's yours - otherwise I'll do it. I think the favorite for a name is 10 More Minutes - if you have any ideas feel free to throw them out there.
SandyL wrote: "So has anyone picked their 'Free Space' book yet?"I'm ready! I do a combination of buying, Kindle Unlimited, and some library loans (can you say "book addict?), so I have some good ones to pick from.

Thanks for taking on the captaincy, SandyL!
As far as the weekend, I have some hours off from caregiving so heading home for awhile (yay, I always miss it). Plus doing some shopping (another yay!).
Currently have 3 books out from the library so I will probably pick one to start on Tuesday. Meg, enjoy the time off and hope you find something fun while shopping!
Most of my book stash is "free" so I'll just read whatever outstanding library book I have with the earliest expiration date. We have no real interest in the Star Wars thing so we didn't even try to get tickets. I haven't been there in about 10 years and I have never gone without a child in tow. So looking forward to that. We're going during the wine and food festival and to the adult Halloween party.
I'm not into Star Wars either, but they've been having giveaways on the TV stations for the opening - was hoping to win 'cuz it's expensive to go to Disneyland! And one of the rides looks really cool.

Def enjoyed the shopping! Sometimes you just have to do it, you know? 😄😄😄
